Hard for some birds
Great idea, but I have 6 chickens. Only 2 of them were able to learn to eat out of this feeder, and even then those two didn't want to put their heads in there
Great idea, but I have 6 chickens. Only 2 of them were able to learn to eat out of this feeder, and even then those two didn't want to put their heads in there. Had to go with a different feeder. Also the food doesn't fill very far up in the front.

It's a decent feeder. It didn't take long for the girls to figure it out. There is almost no waste. Easy installation too.

I have been using these feeders for a few months for my chickens, from the time they were about 7 weeks old (when they got big enough to be able to easily reach the feed inside) until full grown. They have worked great. No feed scratched out on the ground, no moisture getting in even when I have the misters on during hot weather, very little bedding getting in when they scratch and toss it around, etc. No the lid may not latch "tight", but have never had a chicken open it or had that cause any issues. My only real complaints are that the mounting bracket tab that it hangs on isn't very large and it hangs out a few inches from the wall. But I like them so well I just bought another one. I have been using 2 for 11 chickens, but now that they are full grown wanted a third so I don't have to fill them as often.
