I have 2 60 lb muts (Husky/Shepherd-male & Shepherd/Lab-female). My Husky mix was rescued off the streets almost 2 years ago at an estimated 4 yrs old. We will never know what kind of puppyhood he had and he's not a big tug of war play dog, though he has done it a few times. He gives in to his sister mostly. On the flip side, my girl loves a good tug of war so she was very excited for this tow. Unfortunately, playing tug of war with my grown son the day after receiving this, one end of the rope came right off. The rest of the toy remains in tact and she loves playing fetch with it but it's not strong enough to withstand a good tug of war with my 60 lb mix. I will say that she has not torn apart the stuffed portions of the toy..... yet. But I don't see her chewing on it either.
