Great all purpose treat and price, will buy again

I gave these treats to my 3 large breed dogs (ages 2, 11, and 15) and all 3 of them really enjoyed them! The treats are advertised as being for all size dogs, including puppies, which I think is a fair assessment. For larger dogs, they are small for a stand alone treat, but I threw a few into each of their food bowls and that worked fine (they all wolfed down the treats first and get excited when I get the bag out!) These are a great size for a small treat or training reward though, and you could easily fit a lot of them into a treat pouch for walks. I was really impressed with how durable the treats were too - none were broken in the bag I received! I think the amount of treats in the bag and price are both very reasonable too (especially for a better quality treat!) and will be purchasing these and adding them into my dogs' regular treat rotation now!

We typically get our dog treats in bulk at the warehouse stores, and most often they are peanut butter flavored. When we saw these peanut butter treats, we decided to give them a try, because they seem to be a bit healthier than the other ones we get. These treats are manufactured in Brazil. The ingredients are fairly clean. When we opened up the resealable bag, our dogs immediately came running to the treats. They are about the size of a quarter, so they make for really good training treats, too. Overall, these treats were really enjoyed by both of my large breed dogs.

I was a little surprised when I opened the bag because these didn’t smell like peanut butter to me at all but I don’t have much of a sense of smell. That made me pause at first. But my puppies told me everything I needed to know about taste. We did a side-by-side taste test with some ridiculously expensive, private-sourced, 100% wild salmon treats (the gold standard), and they were basically like, “Yeah… either one is fine.” That’s saying a lot. I’ve been giving each puppy one a day to start, later, maybe two of these a day, and I’ve noticed their digestion seems a little better since starting them — firmer, more consistent stools. Looking at the ingredient list, that makes sense. Pumpkin, sweet potato, cassava root, coconut oil, and dried citrus pulp are all things that can support healthy digestion, and there’s nothing in here that makes me nervous. I’m really picky about sourcing and ingredients. With these, everything on the list is recognizable — things that either grow in the ground or are clearly defined. Ingredients: Cassava root, coconut oil, sweet potato, hydrolyzed beef, tapioca starch, pumpkin, natural flavors, dried citrus pulp, peanut butter, agar-agar, lecithin, calcium carbonate, mixed tocopherols (preservative), rosemary extract. The only ingredient that gave me pause was hydrolyzed beef, which usually comes from pooled commodity beef but that’s true of almost all beef proteins in pet food unless they’re labeled single-source or human-grade. But the hydrolyzing process is a good thing, breaks the protein into very small pieces, making it highly digestible and gentler on sensitive stomachs. Even though they don’t smell amazing to me, they obviously smell great to the dogs — and more importantly, they agree with them. These have earned a regular spot in our treat rotation.
