What is the length of time your dog should take this product to fix the problem?

Answer by ChewyJun 30, 2022
The length of use is dependent on a few factors, but the following is generally accurate: If this is the first stone/crystal event for the animal, then 3 months of use is usually sufficient. If this is the second or greater stone/crystal cycle, then use for 6 months. In all cases, it is suggested to use a pet friendly probiotic to maintain native gut flora. The stones usually break down in advance of this timeframe, but the longer use is for potential reparative actions to occur, to help address the drivers of stone and crystal cycles and to help repair at a cellular level.

Is there side effects to this medication

Answer by ChewySep 15, 2025
Contraindicated for pets that are pregnant, nursing, hypotensive, diabetic, on blood thinners or diuretics, without Vet supervision. Possibly contraindicated for pets with allergies to eggplant, a night shade plant. Strongly anti-microbial. Suggested to add a pet specific Probiotic to help maintain native gut flora and electrolyte balance. Your pet may drink more water, need more frequent bathroom breaks. For large stones or risk of blockage, it may require doubling the dose for 7-10 days. Speak with your vet if your pet’s conditional needs have been deemed an emergency.

This Stuff Works!

We have a couple girl dogs that are prone to UTIs. We hated having to take them to the vet every time, and the prescription side effects didn't make any of us happy. After hearing about this from a family member that used it to clear an infection in her female cat, I figured we had nothing to lose. I am so happy we tried it! Now when we see the signs of one, we begin using the daily recommended dose for about 2 weeks, and no more symptoms! We took one of my girls to the vet after administering and seeing no more signs, and a urinalysis confirmed it had cleared! We are always very pleased with the results!

No results yet

My dog has been taking it for 3 months and there’s been no results. Would like to give it more time but I’m afraid of continuing if it’s not meant for long term

My dog has been taking it for 3 months and there’s been no results. Would like to give it more time but I’m afraid of continuing if it’s not meant for long term use. He is 10lb dog and takes one a day.
