Will this help a senior cat who sings (yowls) very loudly at night? He seems to only do it because he wants company at 3am.

This supplement is formulated to help calm and relax your anxious or stressed pet.

Are you supposed to give the capsule to the cat or put the contents on food?

Answer by ChewyJun 04, 2021
You can give the Serenity Zen capsule directly, or you can also open up and sprinkle the contents onto your pets food.

what is the shelf life after opening?

Answer by ChewyJun 02, 2021
The expiration date will be printed on the bottle. Every expiration date will be different for each jar, as different batches are constantly being produced. This supplement should be stored in a cool dry place.

I can't give my cats capsules - can this capsule be opened up and the powder sprinkled onto their food?

Answer by ChewyMay 08, 2021
All of Natura Petz capsules contain powder that is flavored with cat specific, real turkey palatant to enhance scent and taste acceptability so you can open up the capsule and sprinkle onto your pets’ food. Generally Natura Petz recommend mixing the flavored powder with wet food as cat’s scent palate is so elevated, it increases flavor acceptability, but some cats eat the powder on dry kibble, and every animal is different. If you decide to pill, the capsule itself is also turkey flavored for greater acceptability.

Hard to administer

My cat is small and very picky. I need to break the capsules and mix in her food and she eats it but it’s an all day episode

Good product

The product's ingredients are good. But, unfortunately, it's so "organic" that my cats does not want to eat it)) I have to catch and feed them)

Not a chewable

These "flavored" calming treats are actually capsules. None of my cats did more than lick it once, my dog didn't even eat it. It doesn't calm a cat to wrestle it

Cat likes the taste, but it doesn't quite work

For my cat this doesn't work, I've been giving it to him for 3 weeks and was hoping to see some sort of change in his behavior but no luck. We just moved and I hope

For my cat this doesn't work, I've been giving it to him for 3 weeks and was hoping to see some sort of change in his behavior but no luck. We just moved and I hope this would help with his restless pacing-meowing routine that has stopped him from being able to relax. (The smell of it is unpleasant to me but he'll eat it on dry or wet food.)

cat hates it

This has a really weird smell if I’m being honest. My cat won’t even touch her food when I mix it in. I would give it to her like a regular pill but it’s too big

I just searched the internet high and low for any other reviews confirming that this is a *miracle* supplement. I’ve been feeling so sad for my cat, as his anxiety is so high. He jumps and hides at the slightest sound and has been terrified of my fiancé since we’ve moved in, for no reason. He only hides under the bed and has been secluded to the guest bedroom (his choice not ours) away from the rest of the family. We’ve tried everything. I was seriously considering putting him on Prozac, because it just seems like he’s living such a sad and lonely life. We figured we’d try this first just to see. TLTR: He’s only had this stuff for 3 nights, and he’s a changed cat, even in unexpected ways. He’s more social. The first night, he was slower to hide under the bed. By the second night, he just didn’t. He’s starting to come out more, and explore more. BEYOND all that, he isn’t shedding as much and the dandruff he previously had is already going away. Extremely happy with this product. I will continue using this. This company hasn’t gotten enough credit!

Capsules for Cats? I don't think so...

I was hoping this product would help my cat who appears to be pulling out her fur and is distressed - perhaps with us being home all the time due to COVID. However, with this medicine coming in a capsule, I was a little surprised if there was actually an expectation that cats would just take these. I tried it and she played with it on the floor, but seemed repelled by the VERY STRONG odor of the bottle. It was wild, like game, but if that was meant to entice her, I think it did the opposite. So, I emptied the contents for her. She sniffed it...licked it once and then walked away. My other cat rolled all over it and I thought maybe I had scored. That night they went WILD! It was almost adverse to the reaction we hoped for. I tried it three different times - the next times mixed into their wet food. They refused to eat it. So needless to say, this did not work for us and was an expensive loss.
