I received this but it didn't have a scoop. What size is a scoop? 1/4 teaspoon? If you do dosage by the scoop, you should include the scoop.

Answer by ChewyJun 18, 2020
There are approximately 80 scoops. The scoop measures at approximately 1/32 of a teaspoon.

Do we just add this to their current food?

Answer by ChewyMay 25, 2020
This topper can be added to your cat's current meal. For complete feeding guidelines, click on the 'Feeding Instructions' tab, just under the product photos.

Fed my 10lb cat only half a scoop and it gave her diarrhea. Also, I ordered this on Nov 22nd and the best by date on the container is Dec 20th (see photo) which would’ve given me less than a month to use it. On a positive note, it was easy to mix into her wet food, and even though the powder had a very strong stinky smell, my picky cat still ate it right up.

Works to a degree

Bought this for a almost 15 year old cat, who suddenly started crying a lot at night. Vet is running bloodwork/ tests to rule out further medical issues. Vet recommended

Bought this for a almost 15 year old cat, who suddenly started crying a lot at night. Vet is running bloodwork/ tests to rule out further medical issues. Vet recommended starting slow with this.It has helped to calm her,but she is still up at night. Her vet is also considering senior cognitive issues. It has a musty smell, but that is how valerian smells. She readily eats food with this in it.

My senior cat gets anxious with storms or even when people visit (not many visitors during Covid) and I mix this with her wet food. I do have to mix it well with some stinky fish canned varieties she likes, but it works like a charm! She doesn't hide during thunder storms and I even catch her purring sometimes when people visit. This is a real turn around. The scoop is small so I did add 2 scoops and it worked great!

No scoop... Dosage is by the "scoop"

The dosage is by the "scoop", but there is no scoop included. How much am I suppose to give my cat if I don't know what size "scoop" they are referring too?
