Four paws up all around! Personally love the ingredients and apparently, so do the pups. I have two senior Chihuahuas under 8 pounds who really enjoyed them as a treat, I enjoyed how easy they are to break into smaller pieces without completely crumbling and turning into dust. The large dogs love them too. I’ve been using them as a topper dry with their morning meal. How creative that this product allows you to use it as a treat or a meal supplement by adding water.

I had the opportunity to try the Natural Farm Freeze-Dried Patties, Red Meat Recipe, with my dogs, Zeus and Zara. These patties are made with 96% raw beef, organs, and pork, making them rich in essential proteins. The blend of meat, fruits, vegetables, and probiotics provides excellent nutritional support for dogs, and they're made in the USA. According to the feeding chart on the back of the bag, it indicates how many patties to give based on your dog's weight. My German Shepherds weigh 80 and 100 pounds, and the chart recommends 22½ patties per feeding. You can serve this food in two ways: 1. As a meal: Place the patties in a bowl, add warm water, and gently stir. Let it sit for 5 minutes to allow the patties to fully re-hydrate, then serve. 2. As a topper: Crumble the patties over kibble (adding water is optional), stir, and serve. When I opened the bag, I found the smell to be quite strong, which I didn't enjoy; however, my dogs didn’t seem to mind it at all. The patties are small, round, and very lightweight, and my dogs seemed to really like them. After following the feeding directions for the number of patties to give them, I found that the bag was gone quite quickly. While I appreciated that they are a natural supplement packed with necessary proteins, I realized that for my two dogs, they might not be the most cost-effective option.

I call these Natural Farm Freeze-Dried Patties, aka "Brady's food toppers", as although he still eats his dry, bland dog food that has been hydrated with water, I add these crumbled on top of his kibble, for additional nutrition and tasty boosters, as he loves the flavor of the red meat recipe, and it all stays down! He thinks that they are "treats" and gets so excited when I prepare his food - Brady is one happy "pup'!

Smells like dried mushrooms and my dogs LOVE them!!! I use these crumbled up as a topper on my elderly dog's bowl. She is a picky eater but these have really stimulated her appetite. You can feed these as a complete meal but I think that would likely be an expensive proposition. These are dried and easy to transport and store. Very easy to crumble and you can even rehydrate them if you want to.

These patties were very well received by my dog. He loves them! I love all of the great ingredients. Especially that meats are the first 3. I make homemade food for my dog and we use mostly the same foods. The patties took longer to rehydrate than the package says. More like 10 minutes than 3 to 5. Not too long to deal with though, just have to plan ahead a little. I think these are great for meal toppers and meals for smaller dogs, but pricy for a big dog as a main diet.
