Picky eater approved!

I’ve never tried raw or freeze dried before with any of my 4 dogs but gave this a try. I have GSPs and mine are very picky! I’ve gone through a few kinds of kibble

I’ve never tried raw or freeze dried before with any of my 4 dogs but gave this a try. I have GSPs and mine are very picky! I’ve gone through a few kinds of kibble and they just pick at it. This is the first time they’ve been excited to eat and doesn’t take them forever to finish. I’ve tried soaking it and feeding it dry, crumbled and they like it both ways. I made the mistake of leaving the bag on the counter one day while I was gone and one of the dogs jumped up and ate the rest of the bag! So I guess they REALLY like it!

I like to feed this as a meal topper and my dogs approve. The individual patties break up easily and can be fed dry, or mixed with moist food. As a stand alone meal, they’re simply too expensive for my needs. Also, the feeding instructions on the bag differ from the ones on the chewy page. One says to feed x amount of patties, the other one cups. My dogs are in the 21-40lb range and per guidelines on the actual product they would need 11½ patties each, versus 11½ cups each according to the website listing.

Using half pieces, having to add water, and wait wasn't ideal as well. Overall a great product with great ingredients as a topper, but I wouldn't recommend it as a meal.

I feel like I would use it more for tracle or for Hurricane season when we could have extended power outages. It's also good as a backup.

These freeze dried chicken patties are a pretty good size and easily pull apart so you can use as a topper to their regular meal. I love the fact that these are loaded with good nutritional raw ingredients with fruits/veggies also vitamins and added bonus probiotics. My little ones absolutely love these patties as both a meal/topper and also a little snack in between meals and will be a staple in our furbabies pantry.
