Condensed hay items are often expected to break up somewhat in shipping, so often when I buy condensed squares like these from other brands once they make it through shipping half the hay chews have broken up and turned to dust. Because these condensed hay bales are much bigger they make it through shipping much better, and my rabbit is IN LOVE with them. She cannot get enough! Great way to change up her usual healthy hay source and get her using those teeth! Will definitely be ordering again and trying other products from the brand!
*PS. You should expect they are very messy when rabbits eat them, as all condensed hay products tend to be. My Rabbit was not impressed
on Mar 2, 2021
I purchased these thinking that it would make the rabbit hay issue a little less messy.
First of all, what appears like discs in the photo are actually logs of compressed hay about 8 inches in length. In total, the package has about 6-8 of these hay logs instead of several hay discs. They don’t spit apart into discs.
Most importantly, my rabbit doesn’t care for them. He nudges them out of his way in the cage, but after two weeks has not eaten even one.
The concept is great, but the product itself is not. It is neither what is pictured nor something I can use to feed or treat my pet.
Not sure what to think about these....

I purchased these for my guinea pigs and well, they didn't touch them. Moved them to the chinchilla cage and the chinchilla seems to like them, periodically. I wouldn't say that he LOVES them, but he does seem to enjoy chewing on them which is why I gave 5 stars. They're very hard and not like traditional hay. You do have to break them apart a little which is difficult. I'm not entirely sure if these are meant to be like chewing enrichment or a substitute for hay. Either way, I just put them in as enrichment.
My rabbit loves this!

My rabbit loves these a lot. The hay is fresh and bright green. She likes it so much that it almost seems like these are a treat, and not just hay. They are very messy though, so I give them to her in this little play pen thing I have - the little bits still get out of the play pen, but my handheld vacuum takes care of that :)

I truly did not realize how big these things are. They are very solid compressed “bales” of hay. It smells really sweet and is mostly nice and light green. The minute I put one into their cage, they ran to it and have been chewing on it nonstop for at least five minutes now. I like that the outside is very solid, it’s great for their teeth too. Beware, it will make a little bit of a mess while they are chewing at it.
"Delicious!" raves my rabbit
on Feb 17, 2021
I've just started trying out the Rosewood line for my bunny. I'm always on the lookout for treats that without much sugar (or any) content and this company seems to be on the same wavelength. The hay bales smell like meadow grasses, and are very slightly moist - normally that would suggest mold but here it's a further indicator of freshness. My rabbit enthusiastically plow through one bale a day, which supplements her hay intake, which in turn pleases me. I will be trying more Rosewood products for sure!
BRAVO!! for Naturals by Rosewood!
on Jan 2, 2021
This company has several items available for pig fun and variety. I highly recommend them! These bales are little - about 2.5" in diameter. They can easily pull apart if you want to give your pig a smaller serving. I love that they offer my pigs something different and fun to explore and munch on. Anything I can add to their diet to give them quality nutrition is a plus. This is clearly a quality company that cares about producing top-rated food for your pets. - - And, oh yes - my pigs love them!
Do not buy

This is such a messy and disappointing treat for your bunny. It gets shredded quickly and you have to immediately clean the bunny’s hutch. We used one and now are stuck with the whole bag.
Powdered hay fallout, not much more
on Dec 3, 2020
After a couple of nibbles initially, these were abandoned with powdered hay dust all over the fleece. I really could not see that the bundles had much
usable, nutritious hay. Another failed purchase. Glad to see Chewy is getting
more variety across the board in their products, however. Tried several new GP products, and all are no repeats except one: their new Versele-Laga Complete GP pellets. They really have taken to that product.
Extremely Fresh; Better Than Hay Cubes
on Dec 19, 2020
This is the freshest smelling hay I have ever purchased! The photo is accurate to the color of the hay received. It is also much easier to feed than loose hay or hay cubes. Like the other reviews state-there is powdered pieces that come out but I expect this with any hay product.
