i love this stuff and so does my guinea pig but it seems to be a common problem with rose branches or some sort of thorny branches ending up in their food. not okay. this company is good but needs to seriously listen to their customers. people have also found cigarettes butts in their bags too.
My bunny loves all the treats by Naturals by Rosewood. I am the treat giving Grandma and when she sees me coming, she comes running for her treat.
After a near fatal GI stasis episode I realized the peas in this mix were what caused my bunny to get sick so quickly. I had forgotten the basic rule, what gives you gas will give your bunny gas. However, the pea flakes are large enough and visible enough that it's a 10 minute job to pull them all out. The rest of the mix is fantastic. Which is why I gave it three stars versus one star . The bunnies love it even the twigs. So do yourself a favor. Spend the time to sort through and pull out all the peas. The same goes with the other rosewood mixes that include puffed, corn and puffed wheat. Please pull those out. None of the stuff should be in bunny treats.
Very high quality and my chinchillas love this. I put it in a separate dish from their regular food as a supplement.
I’ve been finding TONS of thorny branches in this mix and they’re extremely sharp. It’s scary to find them and know my hamster could get injured if I miss any and also I’m sick of getting stabbed when trying to sift through it. Picture is what I took out in just one evening while sprinkling it around the cage.
My bunnies loved this and I had great success with this brand before however this specific summer one I poked myself getting my rabbits a treat and discovered an alarming amount of little thorns throughout this. I threw away the rest I can’t imagine them biting onto one of these sharp thorns!
My Mini Rex LOVES this! He goes crazy when he hears the package crinkle. He likes to play loudly at night and I've found sprinkling a little of this for him to forage keeps him busy and quiet so we can fall asleep!!
My Guinea pig loves,loves,loves this.
I did some research that hamsters like stuff like this (plus I want him to try new things), and to my surprise he ACTUALLY loves it!!! As soon as I sat some down he immediately started snacking! Plus the smell doesn’t bother me (maybe for others but not me), I’m so glad he loves it!
My bunnies go nuts the second they hear the bag crinkle. I feed as a treat and also to gauge interest in food. My two senior rabbits have dental issues and refuse pellets when their teeth are bugging them, but never shoot down this stuff. I know I need to break out the carrier and run to the vet if they stick up their noses at the Summer Harvest salad.
