I just received this product for the first time, and I can't find information how to storage after opening. I found out for the similar liquid products(just different brands)that must be in the refrigerator after oopening. So,refrigerator or room temperature? THANK YOU.
Answer by ChewyMay 23, 2019
After opening, this supplement should be stored in a cool dry place and does not require refrigeration.

Do you you give this to a dog directly or can it be mixed in a certain amount of water for a dog drink throughout the day?
Answer by ChewyJul 18, 2018
The manufacturer recommends only mixing this supplement with food, as your pet may not consume the entire dosage if mixed in with water.

Is this appropriate for cats?
Answer by ChewyJul 30, 2019
This supplement is intended for dogs and cats.

What is the difference between the Stage 1 and Stage 2 formulas?
Answer by ChewyNov 06, 2018
Level 1 Maintenance care is recommended as a preventative measure during puppyhood, especially for large and extra-large breed dogs that are prone to joint issues. It can also be beneficial for athletic pets to help keep them active. Level 2 Moderate care is great for any dog with moderate joint issues, and is also beneficial with senior pet diets.

Amazing meds

My 4 yr old GS has one hip that's square now due to degenerative arthritis. She was in so much pain when when walking let along could not jump on bed or couch any more. The vet recommend this with the Welactin omega 3 and CBD's. Just this on it's own has her running, jumping, and playing again that we have to keep her slowed down a little. We know that the dysplasia will get worse over time but this stuff is a miracle to see the transformation. We have to use a syringe as she won't take it voluntarily. I tried a drop and it is nasty but she wakes me up to get her stuff every morning.

Wish it came in flavorless

My 17 year old cat has arthritis in her hips and shoulders and I was very much hoping this would work for her but she hates the taste so much I can’t get her to take it to find out. She won’t eat her food if I mix anything that isn’t flavorless in it, she quit eating the chews so that left me to try liquid. She wouldn’t willingly eat this so I tried a syringe. She hated that more than pills. This may work but I’ll never know if she won’t take it

Great for cats

I have a cat that had to get her leg amputated at a young age. The vet suggested something like this for her. I have been giving this to her for about 4 years now. Love that it is a liquid form. I use a syringe type medication applicator. It makes it so easy. She knows the routine. Right before I give her the morning wet can food, I suck the right amount out from the bottle, gently grab her head, squirt it into the side of her mouth. As for the taste, she knows her can food will be laid down for her to eat right after. So she tastes it for a very short time. She has gotten so use to the morning routine. Her & I both. It takes an additional 30 seconds to do.

Liquid glucosemine

This product saved my big guy from certain pain and deterioration. He stopped taking the Cosequin beef flavored chews because he simply doesn’t like the flavor and texture after so many years. I was looking for a quality liquid alternative and found a winner which is appropriate for his aging and slowing body. I simply add the dose to his food and noticed he wasn’t limping so much after a few days. We have a winner!

NaturVet Glucosamine DS with MSM & Chondroitin Hip & Joint Stage 2

We have used this product in the past with another elder dog. After a few weeks on it, I could see she was moving better and enjoying life more. I have started my purchase of this again, as I now have dogs that are over 7.

Needed Help For Old, Fat Dog

Dog got fat and lazy (not really, but that's what I tell him) and injured his cruciate ligament. I put him on a fat dog diet and started a regimen of 10 ml of Glucosamine DS Plus. Three months in and he has lost 10% of his body weight with another 10% to go and is spry, active, and shows little sign of the leg injury. I owe it to the combination of correcting his diet and providing needed supplementation for joint issues.

Great for cats

This bottle lasts a LONG time for my two cats. They have no pickiness with the flavor, and it blends with their food well.
