This supplement can be fed directly into the mouth or added to food. It is not recommended adding it to water.

Is it flavored? How long ahead of time do you give it and how long for it last?

This supplement contains bacon flavoring. It is generally recommended to administer 30 minutes ahead of a known stressful event, when possible. The average efficacy of the product is 2-3 hours, and it can be re-dosed once after that. On some pets the calming effect can last longer. It all depends on their situation and stress level at the time of dosing.

Didn’t help my cat much.

My cat is shy/anxious, especially when I have guests over. Ive tried using this product a handful of times, but it doesn’t actually make her calmer. It just makes her sleepier, but once I have a guest over or if any of the usual things that alarm her occur (sudden noises from outside, etc), she will still be alarmed/anxious and come out of her sleepy state. This definitely would not work for vet visits or travel. On the plus side, it was super easy to administer; I mixed it into her wet food and she ate it right up.
