Good for luxating patella?

Answer by ChewyApr 06, 2022
These braces are recommended by veterinarians are specifically designed for the hock joint or ankle and not for the knee. It can help provide strong support to dog and cat ankle and rear leg from injuries in torn acl, cruciate ligament, splint and sprain, help in wounds healing, hock pain relief, loss of stability and mobility caused by arthritis.

Can the braces get wet repeatedly? My dog loves any and all water!

Answer by ChewyFeb 19, 2021
These braces are not waterproof. Remove the brace every 3-4 hours to let the leg to breathe, do not keep the brace on overnight. When wash the brace or the brace gets wet, please hand wash and let it dry naturally.

What is the difference between this product and your Rear Leg Dog Brace?

Answer by ChewyMay 12, 2020
The hock brace will be shorter than the leg brace and give more support directly to the hock joint (similar to a human ankle). The hock creates that sharp angle at the back of the dog’s rear legs. If you suspect your dog has an injury, always consult first with your veterinarian to help diagnose and determine the best treatment plan for your pet as the range of injuries and ailments along with the treatment can vary.

Does this product include any form of latex?

Answer by ChewyNov 18, 2022
This brace is made of neoprene and rubber.

Can't say they hurt, in combination with non slip boots he seems more comfortable and stable. They go on but I'd jump up a size next time.

Directions on-line to measure for the proper fit was very important. I liked that they were clearly marked for each leg and easy to put on. My dogs lay down and put their feet in the air to put them on. No struggles or balking at wearing them. Very pleased with the product and highly recommend them.

Chase doesn't mind wearing the braces and it seems to help his ACL tear. He wears the hock braces in the morning as he goes out and investigates our land. The same in the afternoon. Chase is weight bearing on his injured leg now, as our vet said it will take 2 to 3 months to heal. I will continue to use this brace for Chase's ACL tear.

Worked well

It works fine, it gives her added support that she needs to put pressure on her foot.
