I call it a football
I really like this. My girl has had it for almost a year and it has held up EXTREMELY well. At least the football part XD. took her two seconds to chew the rope

Not for chewers
I wanted this toy to work well for our 6 month old rottie girl, it did not. Lasted a couple hours before it fell apart. The rubber keeper on the rope slid right

Not a water toy
I hate to write a bad review of a toy my 75lb Lab loves however, be warned that it is not a water toy as is. First thing to go was the rubber part around the rope
I hate to write a bad review of a toy my 75lb Lab loves however, be warned that it is not a water toy as is. First thing to go was the rubber part around the rope. This left a loop of rope and the ball. In the pool, everything was good until my dog got one of his feet tangled in the loop of rope and was having a REAL hard time swimming. So I cut the rope and knotted each end. This solved this problem but my dog loves tug-of-war. All too soon the ball came apart which surprised me, but the two ends are glued so it is not a one piece ball. I have not found a glue that will glue the ends back together. I have now replaced the rope that came with the ball with a longer double braid rope with lacing tied where the rubber sleeve was. We can now play tug-of-war with it, but I should not have had to do any of this with a toy that carries the Nerf name which I associate with indestructible toys.

Beware of toy as it comes
As much as I hate to gave the ball one star that is what it is worth as it comes. It is one of my dog's favorite toy. I ordered 3 of these footballs. The first
As much as I hate to gave the ball one star that is what it is worth as it comes. It is one of my dog's favorite toy. I ordered 3 of these footballs. The first one the rope came undone within the first 10 minutes of play. I tied knots in both ends of the rope and used it that way. My dog LOVED playing tug a war with the ball so I ordered 2 more. The second one had the rubber grip came off in 2 seconds but the rope stayed glued. We used it in the pool and was having great fun until my dog had the ball in his mouth and got one of his front legs caught in the loop of the rope. He was having a very hard time swimming with only one leg. luckily I was in the pool and close by so I could grab him. After that I cut both of the ropes of the 2 and 3 ball and tied knots in the ends. We now use two balls to throw and play tug a war in the yard. The original ball I glued the hole in the ball closed so it can be used in the pool otherwise it gets filled with water and sinks. My dog does love the balls but they were a danger to him the way they come. With the rope cut and knots tied in the ends it is a fun toy for him. Just beware!!
