Is this safe to feed with horses present?

Answer by ChewyOct 16, 2025
While this feed is formulated specifically for each animal, there should not be any issues if your horse occasionally got into some goat feed. All of the ingredients are natural and organic. But they should only be fed regularly to the animal they were created for to ensure each animal gets the proper nutrition it needs.

Is this safe for Pygmy goats?

Answer by ChewyNov 07, 2024
The feed would be sustainable and nutritionally balanced for pygmy goats however when it comes to specific breeds of goats we would also recommend having an adequate amount of forage for the top dressing along with the feed so they are getting the best balanced nutritional value.

I was hoping to get my goats interest in grain better with this, since it’s winter. They wouldn’t touch it, I tried for weeks. Then I got a goat or two to try, and they kind of eat it mixed with their normal pellet, but aren’t happy about it. What I like about this is obviously the organic aspect, there’s no ammonium chloride, balanced feed. Goats don’t often like to eat powdery or real fine dust in their grain- like when pellets break into powder type dust, and this grain has a lot of powder to it for some reason. It’s worth trying with your goats. But it’s so expensive that it can be hard to justify the price. 3 stars for dust, and price.

DON'T BUY! Potentially DEADLY

I switched my goats to this supplemental grain about a month and a half ago and they would pick and choose what they ate from it (they were never picky eaters before),

I switched my goats to this supplemental grain about a month and a half ago and they would pick and choose what they ate from it (they were never picky eaters before), so they didn't seem to like it at all. I was about to change it back to their old grain since they didn't seem to like it, but unfortunately I was too late. One of my 2 year old previously healthy does passed away a few days ago and the vet said it was due to a thiamine deficiency. We can't no for sure if this feed caused it, but it was the only thing that changed in their environment or diet, so I'd stay clear.

It was good, the goats liked it

It was a good mix of fresh ingredients & minerals but the price is a little too high to make it worth it.

Organic product, healthy goats

Organic and includes kelp meal, no potentially harmful chemicals and I’m going back to it after sick goats from another product.
