Keep fresh water available at all times. These guidelines are an initial recommendation for an average active adult cat. Adjust amounts as needed depending upon your cat’s age, activity and environment. To ensure your pet’s overall health, it’s important to schedule regular veterinarian visits.
For kittens, make food available at all times before and after weaning.
Pregnant and lactating females should be offered at least two or three times the amount shown.
To avoid dietary upset, allow 6 - 8 days to ease the transition from your cat’s current food to next level cat food. Gradually increase the amount of next level while decreasing the amount of your previous food until you’re exclusively feeding next level.

High Quality but VERY Picky Eater

Next Level ingredients provide high quality protein, which is an ingredient I always look for. I have attempted several times to upgrade my rescue kitty's food from the Purina One dry food the rescue organization sent home with us. We have had him 3 years now and he is still refusing to eat anything but his favorite kibble. I have tried using the food as a treat, very slowly mixing in with his current food with no success. He now even refuses to eat the wet food I introduced to him. So, Next Level is high quality but he is still refusing it. The Next Level food has tiny pieces but very hard. He has always preferred a crispy texture (Purina One) to a hard, crunchy texture (Next Level. I am going to continue to try introducing this food to him but my picky eater is a texture guy and this seems to be too hard for his liking.

I was concerned about a total meun change so, to test, I gave both my indoor and outdoor can an additional bowl to see which they preferred – their usual or Next Level. My 17-year-old indoor cat (with his 3 teeth) was not a good test subject since he went off all dry food and ate only canned. My 3-year-old (15 #) ate both his usual food and this test food at the same rate. I think the end results may change since we were still going through the "new" phase. So I continue to offer both to see longer-term results.

I’m forever buying food to suit each one’s palate which becomes a little ridiculous. Out of 7 not one has turned their nose up at Next Level. It’ll be a new regular on my list.
