I have two senior kitties who have always been picky eaters, one is allergic to corn so I only feed them grain free food but they seem to get tired of some canned foods after eating it for awhile so occasionally I try different brands but lot of times they just don’t like the food I pick out for them, I don’t know what makes the next level cat food so appealing to them because it doesn’t have a strong smell but it is a very smooth consistency pate and both of my cats love this new food, it’s been approved by my picky kitties

Next Level Chicken & Tuna is a standout among premium wet cat foods. The pâté is noticeably softer and smoother than most store-bought brands, making it easy to serve and even easier for cats to eat—especially great for seniors or cats with sensitive mouths. No spit-up messes, either. They seem to like the palatability. The quality is evident right away. When you open the can, the aroma is clean and mild, not overpowering or “fishy” like many other foods. It actually smells like real chicken and tuna, which made my cats immediately interested. My six cats took to it without hesitation, even though they’re usually somewhat selective. The texture stays moist without being watery or greasy, and it’s gentle on digestion. As noted, I have noticed clean bowls and zero stomach issues. What I appreciate most is how thoughtfully this food seems formulated—simple ingredients, no unnecessary fillers, and a clear focus on meeting the standard of a premium food. I am not interested in feeding mass-produced pâté. If you’re looking for a premium wet food with a softer texture, better smell, and high palatability, Next Level Chicken & Tuna is an excellent choice. This has quickly become a favorite in our household. Highly recommend.

Every morning, my four cats eagerly await their wet food. They surround me in bed like tiny, judgmental alarm clocks, staring me awake until I finally get up and serve breakfast. Two of them are especially picky, so I usually stick to the same “safe” wet food every morning. Every now and then, I get brave and try a new brand. That usually ends in disappointment—lots of sniffing, walking away, and me cleaning up untouched bowls—because getting all four cats to agree on one food is basically impossible. But this time? I was shocked. All four cats walked over, sniffed their bowls, and immediately started chowing down. No hesitation. No protests. I checked the ingredients and noticed the fresh ingredients and added vitamins, which made it make even more sense. The real miracle? Every single bowl was licked clean. All four cats approved. I will absolutely be buying this again. 🐾😄

Sometimes she’ll eat a can of food and it fools me into buying more and then she won’t touch it again. Not so with Next Level. She loved it and continues to love it. It’s a pate and easy for her to eat since she’s missing some teeth. It is a very fine consistency. I couldn’t be happier with this food!

Having multiple cats, I was really pleased to find something in a larger can that went over as well as this did. I did get some mixed results, but that is very typical of my bunch and in no way reflects badly on the food. With my cats, results may differ from day to day, or even at different times on the same day. What can I say? They’re cats! As it is in the can, it’s pretty firm, but stirring water into it easily turned it into a smooth, soft consistency. I do this with every canned food I give my cats anyway, as it can be a challenge to make sure cats are getting enough water. When I first put this down, I didn’t add any water, just to see if they would like it that way. Two of my inside friends started wolfing it down like they were starving (spoilers, they’re not). My fussy boy who never eats anything I try to give him ate a little and walked away. My little female did the same. When I added water to their dishes, everyone took a greater interest in it. Even my super-fussy boy came back and had some more. If you look at the pictures of some of my cats eating, you’ll see how the food looks with and without water added. When I gave some to my outside friends, they were even more enthused than the inside gang was. I’ve never seen one of them eat as fast as he did when he got this food. He’d been fed earlier in the morning, but acted ravenous (another spoiler-he’s not either), when I put this in front of him. He ate more of this than I’ve seen him eat of any other canned food I’ve given him. I’m especially grateful to have this available for them now, as we are having some unseasonably brutal cold and wind chills. (No worries, they have warm, safe places to shelter in). This food seems to keep the cats full longer and it has some great nutrition. I’ve posted a photo of the results for wet and dry carb content, per the formula, and was pleased to see that even my diabetic cat (who has been getting his meds lowered and may be off the insulin very soon, per my vet) could have some. One thing I found was that there were five damaged cans in the case. These are shipped in a single layer of 12, wrapped securely in plastic. The outer packaging was not damaged. Every one of the cans was damaged in the exact same way, except one had the same damage in two places. This most definitely happened during manufacturing. The damaged spots were not facing the outer edge of the cardboard tray and the labels were not damaged even though the cans were dented beneath them. None were damaged to the point that I would worry about giving them to the cats, but it is something I’d like to see the manufacturer take a look at and hopefully correct for the future. I would definitely recommend this food, with no reservations. If your cats are up and down fussy the way mine can be, give them a few chances at different times of day, with or without the water added. I bet that even the few who may turn it down will like it once they are persuaded to try some.

I always have to add water to the food for my picky “fur”son, and this one was no different (does not have excess liquid)… but it was pretty easy to make into a “mousse” consistency vs some where they seem to repel the water being mixed. He ate some, but wasn’t scarfing it down (which is why I took one star off).

The cats did not finish the small serving and it gave me the sense that the food was very rich tasting and they quickly had their fill. They would not return to finish the food that was left in the bowl. It seems like the food lost its appeal after being out of the can for a short while.

One out of three of my cats eats this happily. The oldest cat will only eat it if I add a few treats to it, otherwise she just walks away. The middle cat will eat

I think it's a good product with decent ingredients, it's just not a very big hit in our house.
