It is spacious, and unlike many others out there the second level is easily accessible and useful and the ramp is corrugated. 2. The top opening especially is really helpful and cleaning is very simple. Note: the safety clips are bit wonky but not really necessary for small pets. Assembly is simple, but you may need pliers to adjust some closures more tightly. For our gerbils the area under the second level became one huge house for sleeping, which they love. For the price this item gets 5 STARS.
