My dogs love these snuffle toys!

I got these for my dogs for Christmas and they are loving them! I have a 14 year old mini poodle/Shih Tzu mix rescue named Chewy and a 12.5 year old standard poodle

I got these for my dogs for Christmas and they are loving them! I have a 14 year old mini poodle/Shih Tzu mix rescue named Chewy and a 12.5 year old standard poodle named Hope. Because of their ages, they’re a little less active than they used to be but they still love toys and they still love to sniff. These toys were such an immediate big hit. I put some kibble and some of their new treats within the snuffle pieces and it took them quite a bit of time to find everything. They stayed interested though with no frustration. You can either put the food kind of directly on the fleece pieces so it’s a bit easier for your dogs to find at first or really hid the food under everything under the fleece pieces up against the base of the toy where everything is sewn together. Hopefully that makes sense. Because the base of the toy is nylon, I was able to shake the toy out over the garbage can afterward to get any remaining crumbs which made for easy clean up. I still wouldn’t use wet food with this toy but soft, chewy treats and dehydrated treats worked fine for us. My dogs didn’t play with the squeaky part of the toy but as I mentioned, my dogs are older and they were more focused on the food. I think a younger dog would love that part and it would add to the snuffle mat experience. Because the snuffle mat has fleece pieces and because there is a squeaker in the top portion, especially as food is in the mix, I would not use this toy with an extreme chewer. I would also only give your dog this toy supervised for the first time to make sure they understand how to use the toy and don’t just try to eat the whole thing. As long as your dog get it and doesn’t eat toys, I think this would be a great puzzle toy for crate time or alone time though. Overall, my little dog family is loving this and we’re very happy with our purchase. Zero complaints!

My dogs don’t really care for this toy. It doesn’t keep then busy for long. And the little pockets in the arms for ripped after the first use so the treats just

My dogs don’t really care for this toy. It doesn’t keep then busy for long. And the little pockets in the arms for ripped after the first use so the treats just fall out of those now. Maybe good for a smaller puppy but my 6 year old dogs weren’t busy for that long or at least not as long as I had expected.

I love this. I was hesitant to get it for my 110# destroyer of all plushy toys but he respects feeder toys. It doesn’t hold enough food for a whole dinner but I just use it in conjunction with other feeder toys for more enrichment. It is annoying having to wash it by hand and then wait for it to dry. If it’s sunny out I put it on her back deck but we are going into the less sunny period of the year so that might not be an option for much longer. I still love it though.

Food motivated

Rosie got 1 time use of this. As soon as the treats were gone she completely shredded it. Do not suggest for small puppies. Maybe after all big dog teeth come

Good activity for our puppy

This buys us a few minutes of peace with our new puppy. He likes finding the hidden kibble and it’s nice that we can make it more difficult as he gets older.
