To select the most accurate size collar for your pet, measure the center of their neck with a cloth tape measure, a few inches down from their head. Pull the cloth tape measure snug, but not tight. If you don't have a cloth tape measure, you can use a piece of string and measure it with a rigid ruler afterwards. Make sure there’s enough room for about two fingers between the collar and your pet’s neck for comfort.

Good price point with easy to replace batteries using an eyeglass screwdriver. My fluffy corgi and I go walking in our neighborhood which has wide streets, but no sidewalks. She sniffs and I enjoy the sunsets, but we share the road with cars that haven't turned their lights on yet. I use the pulsing setting of Billie's safety collar, so even with her low profile and long, thick fur it's bright enough to catch a driver's eye from any angle. (I also wear a flashing armband.) I picked neon pink, and cut the collar so it rests loosely at the base of her neck just above her shoulders. That way, her thick fur doesn't obscure the light. We also stop in the nearest driveway to let cars pass, but the lights remind drivers that they're sharing the road, and most slow to a safer speed.
This is easy to use and very visible. Rather than cut it and use around her neck, I hook it through the handle on the back of her pet safe harness. Only reason I didn't give it 4 stars, was because it sometimes goes dark for a minute or so before lighting back up.
I frequently walk my dogs in the green belt close to my house and drop the leashes so they can run and explore. However, with the dark mornings, I lost one of my dogs. She disappeared into the blackness! After searching for hours, I went home and she was there waiting for us. That's when I started the search for a lighted dog collar. This works well for off leash runs. It's rather blinding though so I turn it off when using the leash.
I ordered two of these to be able to tell my dogs apart outside at night. The orange one is very faint and hard to see. I wish I would have ordered two of the green instead.
After a couple of weeks the light would go in and out without any apparent cause. Changed the battery and issue is still there so product is not resistant
This is a very affordable and effective night light if you walk your dog after dark. It offers a solid color or flashing color. I picked red, and it has great visibility. My dog is small, and it was easy to adjust to fit. I'd definitely buy again.
worked well at first but now has shorted out and will turn off when it gets bumped
These are bright (I have red and blue). They're not perfect for our dogs. The attachment is similar to the thinner human glow necklaces; the main tube slides into a slightly softer tube section. It can easily come apart, especially if you have two dogs playing together. I think it would be possible to pierce both of these pieces and thread something through them, but it would be basically permanent, so you'd have to size it so it can slip over their head. This is a pretty devastating design flaw. NiteIze makes another glow strip that attaches around a 1 inch collar that is a good alternative to these. I hope they can come up with a better design for the attachment.
This is exactly what we needed, no frills. Can be trimmed to exactly the length you want, and we got the pink so the light is very visible but not so bright that her or our vision gets totally compromised by it when walking at night. I really like that it has batteries so we can keep using it. Hopefully it lasts for years!
So basically i bought these for camping so i could see them at dark. That worked perfectly, though they wouldn’t stay together on my male. I super glued them and now they wont even turn on. Unfortunate because when they worked they worked good but now they wont so
