How do you open the Spotlit to change the battery? The button side has inside ridges so as to twist off but don't spiral so does it pop off? I don't want to damage it opening it wrong. I love these and so does my Beagle Mr. Taz! Thank you! Michele :)

To replace the battery, first pry off the plastic cover to reveal the battery module. Once you get the back off, pop off the battery module and remove the old battery with your fingernail or a small tool. Slide in the new battery into the battery module, making sure the positive sign on the new battery is facing the same direction as the positive board. Please refer to the video included below for more detailed instructions.

Does it help dogs with poor night vision see in the dark?

This collar light glows and flashes to be more visible at night. It may help a dog with poor night vision.

It just clips onto the leash

The light could be brighter. I ordered red, maybe a different color option would have been a better option. Otherwise, it looks and works exactly as described.

Good, But White Light is More Visible

I purchased collar lights in white and green. One for each dog, so I would know which dog is which in the dark. This sounds crazy, but my dogs LOVE to wear them

I purchased collar lights in white and green. One for each dog, so I would know which dog is which in the dark. This sounds crazy, but my dogs LOVE to wear them. They get so excited when we put them on....it's almost like they're looking forward to going out and playing flashlight tag! I love having a separate color for each dog, but the white is definitely more visible than the green.

Only thing we want to comment on is this little collar light only about 1 to 2 inches was shipped singularly in a box that was about 12x12 would had been more economical

Collar lights

Once I figured it out they are great, the directions were all in Spanish but you pop it open, it's a little tough but do it and pull the tab out and your ready to

I did have an incident when my bigger dog shook his head hard it came apart, hasn't happened since and that was my first time putting one back together so it could have been loose but like I said they are great

It's bright, my only complaint is that it's pretty difficult to pry the back off to take the battery slip out. I had to use a butter knife.
