What’s the FPR?

The FPR (Filter Performance Rating) system is a proprietary rating scale used by The Home Depot. Nordic Pure does not use the FPR system; instead, we use the MERV (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value) rating, which is an industry-standard scale developed by ASHRAE.
For reference:
MERV 12 filters are designed to capture particles such as dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, and even finer particles like smoke and smog.
While there is no official conversion between MERV and FPR, generally speaking, a MERV 12 filter would be roughly comparable to an FPR of 9 on Home Depot’s scale.
