I have a picky eater. Teddy is a two year old mini golden doodle He likes the food at times but not always. Tried with and without gravy. Search continues on for his food.

This food seems to be decent in quality, however my dog won’t really eat it. She will choose this last in her bowl, and did get some loose stool from the little bit she did eat. It could be that she hates fish, it could be that it’s the food itself. I think it’s worth a try if this seems like a good fit for your dog, but it’s probably not great if you want a picky dog to eat. My other dog does eat it also, but he kind of eats anything- this diet doesn’t suit him long term so I couldn’t leave him on it to know how he would do. The kibble has multiple sizes of typical larger kibble and smaller flat kibble in the bag, it seems just a little greasy also. It doesn’t have any offensive smell for a fish base diet either. Overall, seems just okay. I couldn’t get her to eat it long enough to know if she’d do well otherwise. It does say it produces sort of a gravy when fed wet, it does somewhat do that in warm water, it gets a bit thick after 3-5 minutes while the kibble stays mostly intact. It gets a bit smellier wet also, but not offensive.

My dogs can be a little fussy about dry foods, but they actually took to this one quickly. We didn’t have my tummy troubles with transitioning and the bite-size of each piece was great. They were small enough for my chihuahua and Frenchie to manage easily, and my cats decided they liked the food as well — so the bites were also cat accommodating 🤪 I was also worried about the smell. Sometimes fish-based foods just have that yuck fish smell to them, but this didn’t have any overwhelming, pervasive odor
