Why are large puppies only allowed to use as supplemental or intermittent feeding yet every one else (adults or small/medium puppies) can eat?

This food is not formulated to meet the guidelines of the AAFCO for large breed puppies (70 pounds or more as an adult). Large breed puppies have different nutritional requirements than smaller breeds.

We can't be the only people with a dog that's allergic to chicken and or poultry. This BEEF option (all of their opinions of food pork n so on) has some of the main ingredients that are CHICKEN AND TURKEY. Super garbage, if I wanted to buy chicken or turkey dog food I would of pick the bag that says chicken or turkey...just so frustrating when advertised as BEEF you would expect the makers if the food to only add beef ingredients. Super disappointing, and if they do that for profit, what else do they do to the food for the "cheaper ingredients" to make more money. This was just so easy to see (after i got home)that they used chicken and turkey that is cheaper than beef so add that people will buy it because they don't usually look at all the ingredients... I bought it because I trusted the name. Got home sat down and actually read the ingredients. Nulo you are pretty tricky I believed you sold a beef dog food which it is NOT.

Thought my dogs would like this since they like beef

Neither of my dogs would eat this. Have no idea what’s making them not like it. I then tried to put some warm water on it to enhance the flavor that did not work

Neither of my dogs would eat this. Have no idea what’s making them not like it. I then tried to put some warm water on it to enhance the flavor that did not work. I tried giving it to them as treats as well, but they sniffed and walked away from it. I have a bag full that I can’t use. I started out mixing it with there other food and they picked out the old food and left the beef. I found that odd something about it they don’t like. So it’s back to turkey.

The TINEST note says this is not for large breed puppies. It’s literally fine for everything else, adults, small or medium breed puppies and of course I have a German shepherd and this is only ok for intermittent and supplemental feeding. Guess I’ll be donating this since he can’t eat it. They do have a large breed version but I’m not spending another 100. That really should have been made MUCH clearer. There’s literally a feeding guideline that says up to 100 lbs.

Really impressed with nulo brand as a whole. The dog food must have been really good because I grave my small dog wet food and some dry food and she honestly scarfed

Really impressed with nulo brand as a whole. The dog food must have been really good because I grave my small dog wet food and some dry food and she honestly scarfed the dry food first which is usually not the case. I like that this food is a small enough kernel that I can feed it to both my small and large dogs, I love the ingredients, and the quality of the food. I especially loved the resealable bag, that velcro type reseal is amazing and more brands should use it, very easy to close which is not always the case. Overall this is a good purchase in my opinion.
