Nulo Freestyle is a grain-free cat food with high crude protein levels to feed your cat's inner athlete. Made in the USA, these small-batch recipes stay fresher longer and give him the premium protein he needs to play, run and enjoy a long, active life with you. Nulo offers energy that lasts with healthy carb alternatives and low glycemic ingredients, plus a patented probiotic for better digestion.
More Animal-Based Protein
Over 80% of the protein in Nulo Freestyle comes from real lamb meat, chicken, salmon, turkey or cod. Nulo has industry-leading levels of these delicious animal proteins that cats crave as devoted meat eaters. Not only are they tasty for your kitty, but they're rich in muscle-repairing amino acids that can only come from real meat sources.

Lasting, Slow-Burning Energy
In all of their formulas, Nulo uses low glycemic ingredients and alternative carb sources for slow-burning energy. Lentils and sweet potatoes help regulate blood sugar levels to keep your four-legged workout partner full of vitality. With a reduced risk of obesity and early diabetes, Nulo is a good choice for both active cats and the those that camp out at the food dish for an all-day buffet.
No Shortcuts or Fillers
From the method of preparation to carefully selected ingredients, Nulo never cuts corners in their recipes. They've included fresh meat, free-roam poultry and wild-caught fish paired with wholesome cranberries, sweet potatoes or lentils. Their formulas are high in animal protein and low in carbs without empty fillers like potatoes, tapioca, gluten, corn, wheat or soy. They never use poultry or meat by-products; GMOs; or artificial colors, preservatives or flavoring, and every can is carrageenan-free.

Powered by Probiotics
Nulo ensures that your cat will get the full benefits of all the valuable nutrients with guaranteed levels of the patented BC30 probiotic. It supplies live beneficial bacteria that facilitate digestion, support the immune system, reduce gas, increase nutrient absorption and improve stool quality. This powerful probiotic also prevents the growth of yeast that can cause skin problems and ear infections.
About Nulo
Inspired by world-class athletes and their sporty pets, Nulo provides simple nutrition to keep pets active and healthy throughout their lives. This Texas-based company began in Austin as an answer to the rise of pet obesity and diabetes caused by nutritionally poor food. Nulo is a different kind of pet food. These fresh, small-batch recipes deliver long-lasting energy, are easy to digest and simply taste better in the bowl.

Cat approves
By Leslie on Jan 10, 2021
I had been trying to get my cat switched from kitten to adult food without much luck. I tried 2 other flavors of Nulo dry food without success. This is the only one she will gobble up. She hardly touches the others.

not so much
By nope on Jan 7, 2021
Only 1 of my 12 would eat this one. I don't know what it is with my bunch..they are just ridiculously picky I guess. Food looked like excellent quality, but with only one willing to even give it a try, I have to say no.

Great food, cats love it
By Hannah on Nov 29, 2020
My cats were chewing through the bag before I even opened this to get to the food. They were already on Nulo but I like this formulation more for adult cats. If you have a kitten, the kitten/adult mixture is fine but this stuff is great for weaned adult cats. Very good food. They eat this stuff eagerly and without hesitation. My dogs even want it, much to my frustration sometimes.

Quinn loves this!

We previously had a different flavor from Nulo and decided to switch to this one as Quinn is an indoor adult cat. She loves it!

Not as good as it seems
By Yanina on May 12, 2020
I took my time to write this review. I’ve been feeding this food for several months, I chose it because of its ingredients and high protein, but what I learned is more proteins doesn’t mean healthier food. On october, one of my cats was diagnosed with hypercalcemia, after many studies the vet couldn’t find an organic cause so he recommended me change the food. After 6 months on royal canin gastrointestinal my cat’s calcio levels were back to normal. Apparently, the calcio alteration was related to this food. Also, 3 of my five have gained weight. The small size of the kibbles is a problem too, since sometimes the cats eat them without chewing. So they are going back to royal canin also. I can I took my time to write this review. My cat loves this stuff!
By Emily on Mar 31, 2020
I wanted to buy a food that looked better than the crap cat food out there, but I didn't want to spend a fortune. My cat has been happy with this since getting her as a kitten and I am happy. Her fur is soft and her health seems great. I can't say it's 100% because of this food, but I feel good feeding her this. I can't find a reason to not recommend this so I give it 5 stars.

Awesome food
By lizdog24 on Apr 29, 2020 Top 250 Contributor
I have researched and tried different foods for our 2 cats. The reviews, research, and results of Nulo food, to me, are excellent. I like the fact of the low carbs. Our cats thrive on Nulo.

Solved the problem.
By kemtee on Jan 26, 2020
Bought this originally when my indoor cat had skin issues. With his coat thinning and falling out in patches, and non-stop scratching, I looked for a different food to help. I slowly introduced this and in the 6 months he's been on it exclusively, he no longer has itchy, flaky skin. His coat has come back to the plush softness I remember, and -- this is the best part -- he no longer has hairball issues. I also don't have to give him as much, yet he's satisfied. Worth every penny to me.

My picky cats get bored with food so i switch up there food often. I tried this because they like treats in the duck flavor and they devoured it.

Size of food to small.
By Kayla on Mar 23, 2020
My kitten was doing fine with this food until she got older. The portions are so small, she was swallowing them whole. This caused her to through up. If the sizes were bigger, this would be much better.
