About how many cups are in a 13oz bag?
Answer by ChewyDec 31, 2018
The 5 ounce bag contains just over 3 cups of food and the 13 ounce bag contains just over 8 cups of food.

Does the bag have to be used within a certain amount of time after opening - if kept in the refrigerator?
Answer by ChewySep 04, 2019
It recommended using the freeze-dried raw recipes within 30 days of opening. Any rehydrated portion should be refrigerated within 2 hours and used within 2-3 days.

Heard raw food best to rotate dog gets a variety of vitamins. So if do 1 nulo freeze dried like turkey and cranberries then you blend another, say like beef, the 2nd you come back to those 2 flavors do you need to blend it again or can your dog eat it without getting a upset stomach?
Answer by ChewyOct 18, 2020
When first introducing your pet to Nulo, we recommend slowly transitioning over the course of 5 to 7 days to reduce the risk of digestive upset that can occur with a rapid change in diet. We recommend portioning 25% of the new food on the first day mixed with 75% of the former food. Over the course of several days, gradually increase this ratio until you are feeding 100% of the new food. This will allow your pet's digestive system time to adjust to any new ingredients and will help to ensure a smooth transition. Mixing up proteins can be a great way to provide variety to your pet's diet. Once your pet has transitioned to the Nulo platform, rotating between recipes is generally seamless.

I have a chihuahua, what size are the freeze dried nuggets?
Answer by ChewyOct 13, 2021
The nuggets vary in size but are no larger than 1 centimeter by 2 centimeters. They can easily be broken for smaller dogs.

Nulo Freeze-dried

I ordered this product because I heard that freeze-dried food was very good. My dog loves it. However, the price is extremely high. Unfortunately, I did not pay attention to the price when ordering

Tasty quality food for my dog with lymphoma

My dogs really liked this food but it is extremely pricey. I may stick with Hills prescription diet ONC food.

Kibble Topper

I use this as a meal topper in combination with her Nulo dry food. She loves these and they make great, lightweight training treats!

Top 1000 Contibutor

Everyone loves it

All 4 of my dogs love this and the little nuggets arent hard or too dense so even my young Yorkie and senior Havanese can enjoy them. The cats even try to steal them. They like them dry but since they are not too dense, they only takes a few seconds, rather than minutes, to moisten them, and they are not in a pattie form, so they are always ready to go with little fuss. Great size for treats too.

Nulo Freestyle Freeze-Dried Raw food

Dogs do like it but it is expensive...more than if I purchase beef or chicken from the supermarket.

Holly and Sassy loved it

Baby sitting Holly (a Cocker) for my daughter. Put out her food (a kibble), put out food for Sassy Pants (Havanese) and Gizmo (Malti-Tzu). Holly devoured the Nulo, licked the bowl clean, and left her food. Thought she was full so refilled the bowl for my girls. Holly shouldered them aside and again, devoured the bowl. On the 3rd bowl Sassy managed to eat, Gizmo not so much but again Holly had her way. A month's supply of food for my two was gone in one night. Guess it was good.

Helps the Tummy

The stuff really works well. It helps because it has probiotics in it and makes my puppies poops more regular.
