My dog is obsessed with this food. He is not a picky eater, but he also hasn’t ever licked the bowl after finishing dinner, or tried to jump on the counter to get to an unopened bag! He has some dry skin/coat this winter so I’m hoping the fish and salmon ingredients help with that. He’s nearly finished the first bag and I’ve ordered more. I introduced it gradually and he’s tolerated it very well, with no change in regularity. I wish the bag said how long to soak the kibbles in warm water, and the fine print was easier to read, but those are minor quibbles. While the price point is extremely high, I’m not taking off a star for that because you definitely seem to get a quality product in exchange. I’ll use it supplementally for my 80 lb dog to enrich his meals.

In fact, he was the one who knocked the bag off the table and managed to rip it open. He has lowered kidney function, so seeing him that excited about any food was surprising—in a good way. Luckily, I caught him before he could get into it, but it was clear the scent was very appealing to him. Now, back to the dogs. I'm very careful about what I feed them, so before requesting this food, I thoroughly reviewed the ingredient list and was pleased with what I saw. Since my dogs eat fresh, human-grade food, I decided to use this as a "topper" rather than fully replacing their meals to avoid upsetting their stomachs. However, I did give it to them separately at first to gauge their reaction. I followed the package instructions to prepare the food, and while it was soaking, my dogs made it very clear that waiting was pure torture. The moment I set their bowls down, they eagerly devoured every bite. Given their enthusiasm, I would definitely consider buying this food.

This freeze dried food was well-received by my 3 dogs, who range in age from 10 years to 8 months old. It's labeled for adult maintenance and has a very close 1:1 ratio for calcium and phosphorus, which is ideal for larger dogs, so I was comfortable feeding this to my almost-adult puppy. I was concerned that this food would smell fishy upon rehydrating it, but it doesn't. The bag suggests 1 cup of freeze-dried food and 1/4 cup water to rehydrate. I doubled the amount of water and it made a "broth" that my dogs were happy with. I would use this for travel, or as backup emergency food for my dogs. It also is much lighter than an equivalent amount of canned and doesn't take up much shelf space. The bag recloses easily and securely, so no odors or loose crumbs.

I started with feeding them a handful each with their regular kibble to get them acclimated. Once they both were acclimated I followed the instructions on the package to wet the food and gave them a full serving each. When I tell you my babies go NUTS over this stuff. My female with a sensitive tummy had no negative reactions, if anything it gave her more energy! My boy with sensitive skin stopped chewing on his feet after 3 days and has no dandruff! This truly has been a godsend for us, absolutely will be repurchasing!

Excellent Ingredients
I like to top my dog's dry kibble with different things to keep them interested at meal time. This Raw+ is very easy to do that with. It has great Pre and Probiotics

It has great Pre and Probiotics and a resealable bag to help it stay fresh. The ingredient list is always a decision maker for me and the ingredients in this food are absolutely great! The dogs have gone crazy for it and I may try it as a reward for some of our training sessions.
