It was all juice and no meat.

Very poor value for the money. Almost no meat and it is very hard to empty the pouches, so you end up throwing some of the meager amount of meat.

Cats Not Impressed

I thought this product would be perfect for my senior cat Hobie since he loves when I give him small snacks of poached chicken breast. He drank most of the broth

I thought this product would be perfect for my senior cat Hobie since he loves when I give him small snacks of poached chicken breast. He drank most of the broth but wouldn’t eat the actual chicken. I left it out most of the day, but he still wouldn’t eat the chicken portion. I tried both the chicken and turkey pouches on Zeva (diabetic) and Zookie (both 12 years old)—both took a couple tastes of the broth and never came back. My fourth very food driven cat Caroline ate the whole thing, but she will seriously eat anything, and frankly, I can’t justify buying a very expensive pouch just for Caroline. If my finicky diabetic cat Zeva was a fan I would consider stocking this food. The food quality looked great, the ingredients were impressive, but the ratio between the meat and broth was surprising. The small chunks were swimming in the broth, almost like this was a mistake in production. If your cat needs more hydration than what it’s getting with its regular food, I would recommend considering this Nulo product.

Here's a draft for your review of Nulo Simply Shreds Variety on Chewy: --- **Not Impressed with Nulo Simply Shreds Variety** I recently received the Nulo Simply Shreds Variety pack for my cat, hoping to give her a tasty and nutritious treat. Unfortunately, our experience hasn't been great. The main issue is the texture and consistency. While the packaging advertises it as a juicy shredded meal, I found the pieces to be either too large or too finely minced, lacking the uniform consistency that would be easier for my pet to enjoy. My cat struggled with some of the bigger chunks and wasn't very enthusiastic about the taste. The aroma is another aspect that didn't sit well with us. Upon opening, there was a strong, pungent smell that was rather off-putting to both me and my furry friend. Typically, she comes running to her dish, but with this variety pack, she seemed hesitant. On the plus side, I appreciate the ingredients list, which appears to be wholesome and free from unnecessary additives. However, the overall quality doesn't quite match the promise of a premium product, especially considering the price point. In conclusion, I wouldn't recommend Nulo Simply Shreds Variety to other cat parents. My feline companion and I expected more from this brand, given its positive reputation. We'll be sticking to other brands that have consistently delivered both quality and satisfaction.

I can usually split 1 pack like this between 2 cats as a treat or food topper. This is not the case with these packs. They give you the smallest amount of “shreds”

I can usually split 1 pack like this between 2 cats as a treat or food topper. This is not the case with these packs. They give you the smallest amount of “shreds” and the rest is water they claim is “gravy”. My cats did not like how overly watery it was. They did eat the chunks out of it. It doesn’t smell overly potent. It’s just so full of liquid like 75% of the pack.

The product description says "shredded" but I would say it's more minced. There is not much actual meat, almost all broth, which is no issue for me or my cats

The product description says "shredded" but I would say it's more minced. There is not much actual meat, almost all broth, which is no issue for me or my cats. They love broth and the main point of me giving them wet food is for the moisture. I could see some customers having an issue with this, though. Both flavors were a big hit. One of my cats will eat anything and the other very picky. The picky one lapped up all the broth but didn't like the meat bits which are quite firm.

My cats ate everything without hesitation and were looking for more. I would say the only 'downside' of this would be the amount of pouches required per cat/per day. I would buy this and feed it maybe as an appetizer or snack but I'm not sure I would replace our current food with this.

I love that this product is broth-based! The product is predominantly liquid, making it perfect for kitties who need more hydration. It is also wonderful for cats who may have difficulty chewing, or as a supplement with other food. The ingredients are real. I personally used it as an addition to my cat's other wet food to increase hydration. Unfortunately, my cat was not enthused right away. She did return to it later. It may have simply been because it was a new item.
