Started using Cosequin w MSM in June 2022 on both of our horses (each about 1000lbs) At first I was concerned with how to give it to them in this powder form. I tried 1 scoop in their grain. Both horses snubbed their noses and wouldn’t eat it (at first!) they both nosed around it and ate grain but didn’t finish their grain. I read reviews on internet and tried suggestion #1 to add 1 tbsp of flax seed oil (for horses) mixed in grain frost and then add the 1 scoop of cosequin MSM and mix again and serve. Both horses eat it this way for their evening feeding. Eat every drop plus flaxseed oil makes their coats shiny and skin healthy. 1 container feeds 2 horses (1scoop a day each) about 42 days (on auto-ship that’s $2.54/day per horse) both horses will be in 19 this year. I see a big difference in both horses. Very good product.
My horse would not eat this. I tried a couple of weeks of adding it to her grain, hoping she would adjust, but it never happened.
I can see a 100 % improvement in my horse. This is what the vet ordered.
I have been using this for our draft horses. I have seen a huge difference already in about two weeks now. All of our drafts are rescues and range from 16 hands to out big 20 hand Belgian. We just feed one scoop a day with 2 pounds of senior. All of them are moving alot better and even made a limp go away on our 20+ year old Belgian mare. This is worth the price and I am going to make sure this is on auto ship. Thank you Chewy.
My 22 year old mare suffers from navicular syndrome and arthritis and I decided to do a trial to see if she needed to continue on this product, after a couple months , yup she does! Did the loading dose for a week and bamb she’s back to being a filly
My mare has only been on it for a few weeks so there's no change yet. The biggest struggle is getting her to eat it. She's not super picky but the smell is really strong so I can only imagine how strong the taste is. Might try the pellets instead.
Our Horse would not eat it. Even added to grain, the horse refused to eat the grain with powder on it.
My 26-year old has navicular. We have tried other supplements, but Cosequin works best. (I top it with a little sweet feed, as he is picky). I used this years ago on my 30-year old with good results. Back then, you needed to get it from a vet. Now you can get it anywhere. And you can get it fast from Chewy! I recommend it highly.
This powder is nice to work with, does not shift or drift in grain or pellets.
I bought this for my 16 yr old Spotted Saddle horse and my rescue mini horse that is between 16-18 yrs old. They both are picky eaters if there is powder in their feed. I can tell you they lick their feed pans clean when I add this supplement. I have not been using it long enough to tell you if it makes a difference in my mini who walks a little stiff in the morning. So I did not give it a 5 star right now. The price at Chewy was the same as feed store and since I order my furpups food from Chewy it was easy to add the Cosequin.
