This is a well balanced kibble that both of my dogs like! I have an azawakh/basenji type hound who can be a picky eater, and a black-mouth cur who likes everything. Both dogs took to this kibble with no trouble. I saw no change in their coat or energy level compared to when they were on their old kibble. The ingredient list starts with chicken bits (my paraphrasing) and includes whole grains and is packed with vitamins! This may be our new dog food!

For as much food as you get, the price is extremely good and my dogs love it. I have a pittie mix and a shi-tzu poodle and I was worried about the size being too big for my shi-tzu, but it was perfect for her. They are both such high energy and with the heat right now, I’m hoping this helps. I started mixing their old food with this food and now they won’t touch their old food. I guess that is confirmation that it tastes good!

We have our very high energy springer spaniel on TRUE Active for about 2 weeks now. She definitely seems to like the taste and has been eating the food with gusto since day one. We’ve seen no digestive issues from changing her food. The kibble is perfect size for her, not too small and not too chunky. Sophie is a fast eater so with small kibble she rather inhales it without even attempting to chew. With TRUE’s food we actually hear her crunching on it during the meal. I also like taking some of it with us on walks to use as a treat. I recommend the food especially for multi dogs households since it comes in 50 lbs bag and it is reasonably priced.

I’m gonna be honest here and I’ll probably be kicked out of the program, but I wouldn’t feed this to my dogs after receiving it. I looked at the ingredient list

I’m gonna be honest here and I’ll probably be kicked out of the program, but I wouldn’t feed this to my dogs after receiving it. I looked at the ingredient list. When the first ingredient is chicken by-products meal and the second ingredient is corn, I can promise you that my senior Golden Retrievers will not do well on this food. Nor will I even try it. Now I’m not sure what to do with the bag. Sorry Chewy. I’m surprised- Nutrena should do better. They make quality horse food that I had purchased for years.
