Xena really likes it she's a 5-month-old German Shepherd likes to do lots of chewing and is very active. She has another toy that she likes more than this one but she definitely likes this one as well and she's on it frequently.
Prickly, dog doesn't seem to like it
I bought this because my dog is obsessed with another coconut rope toy he had, but he doesn't care for this one, I think because it's not as soft as the other one

My boys chew on everything
This has been great for them. It’s fun to watch them hide them from each other

It was fun while it lasted
I’m always looking for things that are safer for the dogs to destroy and chew on. This served the purpose of both, but it made a mess when it came apart.

My cat loves it!

I bought both of the “Nutties” toys for my cat who has an addiction to sisal-like materials. She likes the giant one (meant for dogs) just as much because she can curl around it and “kick” attack it. She carries both around as hunting “gifts” for us. I’m so glad I found a replacement for her favorite ball! These are clearly a little “spendy”, but they are holding up very well wear-wise.
big fun, bigger mess
My 80-lb Rottie mix loved this ball. Alas, tearing it apart leaves a small hurricane of debris in its wake

Not safe - caused bowel obstruction
“Safe for limited use” - wrong! Gave this to my pup for 15 minutes. Saw she started eating it, took it away immediately. 4 days later she pukes up some of the coconut
“Safe for limited use” - wrong! Gave this to my pup for 15 minutes. Saw she started eating it, took it away immediately. 4 days later she pukes up some of the coconut fiber, is pooping blood, and not eating or drinking. I’m a helicopter mom and muzzle her on walks so she doesn’t eat something dangerous. Got this thinking it could be a slightly safer alternative to a rope toy. Absolutely not. She’s heading into surgery for a bowel obstruction.
Choking strands
Both of my dogs easily ripped the ball into shreds and even though they appeared to be spitting out the strands, they must have swallowed strands which cause them
Both of my dogs easily ripped the ball into shreds and even though they appeared to be spitting out the strands, they must have swallowed strands which cause them to cough, and attempt to throw up what was in their throats. The first time, I just took the balls away. The second time I threw them away. A bummer for sure.
Ball leaves fibers everywhere.
Good for shredders, fetch, and independent time (with supervision).
