This thing is hard as a rock! It has absolutely NO flexibility. It’s like a brick. It’s supposed to be “bacon” flavor? Nope. It has no scent whatsoever. My dog wouldn’t even take it in his mouth. I tried to put it in his mouth, but he immediately just dropped it right to the floor. I took it to a friend who has a large dog. Her dog had the same my reaction mine did. He had absolutely NO interest in this bone. I wouldn’t waste my money on this bone (in any size).
We tried Nylabone years before and had quite the scare when one of our dogs swallowed a good size piece. So, we stayed away from them for a good 10-12 years. Fast forward now; both our pups are aggressive chewers. I watched a McCann Dog Training video on "what to buy for your new pup" - very informative video I might add. Trainer stated that this type of Nylabone is very strong for aggressive pup chewers; she recommended getting this particular size (large) as there wouldn't be worry of pieces broken off. So, we bought two and our pups (7 mths and almost one year) absolutely love them. They love to chew on them when they first get up; keeps them occupied while we get our own morning routine/chores done. This one is actually more strong vs. the Benebone - which also came highly recommended from a different trainer. Will be purchasing more Nylabones in the future for sure!
We have spent a lot of time and money searching for toys for our two aggressive chewing pups. So far this one stands out as the best yet.
My 2 year old corgi has had this now for an hour and it's already showing wear. We will see how long it lasts.
Disappointed. I finally crushed her crunchy dog food on it to get her attention. It worked for 2 minutes. Has only chosen it once out of basket and then quickly discarded it.
This bone sucks, it’s not what I thought it was. There’s a chance my pup ate plastic because she chewed a little piece of the end off. I’d rather get a real bone. This is fake plastic.
This has the typical strength and durability of nylabone with a flavor that is enticing for your dog. My Golden chews on this daily.
Our dog would chew on this nonstop - at times it sounds like it’s breaking teeth though, super hard
My dogs 70lb and 17 lb can get pieces off this in minutes not safe
My dog is a heavey chewer and this will last a long time. Great quality and she loves it!
