OASE Indoor Aquatics Biostyle Thermo 30 Fish Heater, Dark Blue

I’ve had 3 of these now in 6 months. The second one lasted all of 1 night. It seems like a great idea, but the impeller is the cheapest imaginable! The troubleshooting states, “Cleaning”, for the only solution. When it’s been on overnight in a new tank, it’s not dirty. It’s cheap! The other 2 didn’t last more than a couple of months for the same reason. I even tried them without the heater to see if that might help. It didn’t. They have a 3 year warranty, which is laughable. If you get 3 months before starting the return process, which is another nightmare, then consider yourself lucky! Between the time to pack them to return them, gas to take them to a drop off location, time waiting for processing, and then time waiting for shipping of another model, I have spent more than the original cost of the filter; yet, here I am again because the return process is not meant to help you! Trust me on that as well! Would I recommend this item? I’ll let you imagine what I’m thinking… I will recommend going to your local pet store and buying a different filter and heater in person. That way, you’re not wasting time with the shipping back and forth of products that they have to know are made to fail!
