I've heard that some supplements don't always have the ingredients stated they do - in terms of not being tested or validated for accuracy. Is there some type of process you got through to have a sense of reassurance you do some quality checking of this supplement?

Answer by ChewyNov 05, 2018
All products from this company are tested. They also have a Quality Seal from the National Animal Supplement Council.

Can I feed the whole softgel at once by dropping into the cat's mouth instead of puncturing the capsule to get the liquid out? Is this softgel edible and digestible?

Answer by ChewyDec 29, 2024
The whole softgel capsule can be fed orally. Capsules may also be punctured and liquid contents squeezed onto pet's food.

Do you have an omega-6 supplement (without omega-3s) that I can feed my dog along with the sardines that he eats?

Answer by ChewyJun 29, 2018
Research is being performed to determine the optimal ratio of Omega-6 to Omega-3 fatty acids that should be consumed. Current recommendations are for ratios of 10:1 to 5:1 in the daily diet. These capsules just include Omega-3 Fatty Acids.

how often do i give this to a 13lb. senior dog

Answer by ChewyDec 25, 2019
Pets up to 20 pounds should be given 1 capsule daily, 21 - 40 pounds should be given 2 capsules daily, and pets over 40 pounds should be given 3 capsules daily. This product is intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only.

It’s excellent for my 15 year old cat

Only bad thing about this is, I have to puncture the gel capsule and all the liquid is on your hands.

This product has changes for the worse!

My cat used to easily eat the entire pill of her Omega-Caps soft gels supplement (lot #S23E106 exp 08/26). When the new lot arrived it was in a smaller container

My cat used to easily eat the entire pill of her Omega-Caps soft gels supplement (lot #S23E106 exp 08/26). When the new lot arrived it was in a smaller container (lot# 30837 exp 10/26) and the gel casing are much thicker so my cat has trouble eating them. She punctures the capsule, licks it and leaves the casing on the floor for me to clean up!

Easy to give to a smaller dog

The gel capsules are small enough to give to my 16.5 lb dog with the clear pill popper bought with it.

Intense odor when punctured.

Expected more of a fish smell. Little Miss Adrian as big as a minute does not approve. Will not have it mixed in her food.

It’s helping

My kitty was over grooming - licking until bald patches appeared. The vet suggested adding omega oil to his diet. It’s been 2 weeks. He’s stopped constant grooming
