you say the leaf's are made of silk and they have stems, are the stems made of wire?

The leaves are made out of wires and they are wrapped around PVC that prevents them from hurting your feline friend.

Horrible

I thought it was pretty. Cats loved it. Piece of junk! GREEN TREE will do the same. Plastic inserts for branches break, twigs bend & become misshaped & branches

Picture was better

Be aware- metal rods are at least1-2 inches too short. The plastic 'trunk' sections do help support the two level boards, but by the time the rods are screwed in

Be aware- metal rods are at least1-2 inches too short. The plastic 'trunk' sections do help support the two level boards, but by the time the rods are screwed in enough not to wobble, it will not connect to the top level. Also, the level boards are too small- only kittens/small cats would be able to lay down. With my 10-12 lb adults- only one on the bottom level and they would not use the top level except to look out windows & then get down.

This looks different from any other cat tree. I was a bit disappointed that the spacers between levels are not scratchers but are smooth, rigid plastic. I had not noticed that detail in the description. Taking off 1 star for that. They never go in the cubbies of other cat trees but they like being hidden in the branches. I was worried about the leaves poking their eyes but they are relatively soft, smooth and flexible. Still, I took some branches out to give them easier access and clear entry points. It makes me laugh to see them in there.

Cats sort of like it

I like this because I can hide it in plain side, in the living room and dining room. The cats don't like the small platforms. I just wish they were bigger for larger

I like this because I can hide it in plain side, in the living room and dining room. The cats don't like the small platforms. I just wish they were bigger for larger breeds. I can see a kitten loving this. I do like to use it to hold a bowl of water and a secondary small bowl of food. One thing that is really annoying are the branches are constantly falling off and they aren't bushy as pictured Ii like shaping the wires to different directions and that made the opening less intimidating to the cat because they were afraid to cross the leaf walls. So I had to shape an opening to jump into it. It's not a favorite but I love the concept and still use it

BIG Tree

It was easy to put together and it's really large. Pretty good quality too. My cat doesn't love it, though, so I should have just gone with a smaller one.

Loved being able to hide in the branches - I wish the trunk was carpeted so it would be more like a scratching post at the same time.
