This was a good little water fountain for the few weeks I owned it, and then it started to overflow, even with 1 inch of water in the basin. The filters were both clean, nothing was blocking the water circulation points and still it would overflow. I removed the filters and ran a cycle that way to see if that would fix it, and it did not. The drinking basin became a waterfall creating a mess. Unfortunately I am returning it.

A good little unit. I really like that it has a motion sensor and is quiet. It can be charged and run on battery or stay plugged in. I have one 70 lb dog, one 8 lb dog, and a cat. They all like the fountain. The big dog was hesitant at first but got used to it quickly. It does occasionally overflow so I wouldn’t leave it on when you will be away from home for a long time. The reason I think it would be better for smaller pets is because the unit is so small that the big dog would get water all over the floor.
