This food is great quality. My baby is a rescue and she was found very ill. Her brain was damaged and her bones and joints were really weak. The varied nutrients in this kibble have improved her health. Her body has completely thinned out and she’s a healthy adult feline now. She doesn’t love the red meat food as much as chicken, but she is slowly getting used to it. Get this for your cats!!!
Our rescues are spoiled, so, when they got tired of their once-fave Instinct Raw Boost salmon flavored dry food, I had to find something that was good for them and they’d enjoy! Ur can be tricky to find good they’ll go tj ur to eat after the first bowl, but they LOVE this one! Hurray!
I have two Orientals, one of which is restricted to a no-chicken diet. She always coveted the other cat's Orijen original flavor, which has chicken in it, so I tried the Tundra and Regional Red versions. She loved the Tundra right away. Both cats were slower to adopt the Regional Red vs. Tundra, but now I find that I have to fill the RR dish more often than the other, although both of them eat both varieties. Orijen's expensive, but I'm confident of the quality and it's hard to put a price on the fact that both cats love it.
While I love this food for my 6 cat household, I still do not feel that it is limited in its ingredients. It's meat first..but, it has other ingredients that could be easily let out. I would like to see a total Fishless and no Poultry, fruit or vege, or needless starches. Cats can handle a little grass. Pretty pricey too.. I have a cat that has poultry allergies, and fish is not a natural prey for cats.Rabbit would be nice...with not muich of anything else added.
I tried this food because it sounded like a better quality food than what I had been getting but my cats hate it. My cats went from scarfing down their food as soon as it hit the bowl to skipping meals. They would eat enough of this to not starve but nothing more. I guess if you want diet food this may work. It definitely cut down on my cats appetite.
The absolute FANTASTIC news is that my cat LOVES this dry food. My vet recommended cat food with lamb for my cat because of her diarrhea. I tried another lamb one first, but it had grain, and seemed to make her tummy problems worse. Then I tried this one, and it’s amazing!! Now the bad news is that the bag arrived faulty, where the zip lock didn’t stay on one of the bag’s sides. Yes, it bothered me a bit, but I’m so ecstatic that the food works well, I’m still giving the product 5 stars. I put a chip bag clip on it to keep the food fresh.
Our fur babies are super picky there is also a few allergens that we have to be aware of and of course we do not want to let them feast on other foods with lots of excessive fillers so this is a kibble that we all can agree on Everyone nibbles this kibble when they want something aside from their wet food.
I have two Kitties. I don't know which one has been eating it. I wanted the finicky one to finally like a dry food. I do not know if she does.
Our cat literately knocked me out of way to get to it. Still does. Resorted to this after she kept trying to eat dogs food of similar flavor.
I was feeding the cats with the Original, they seemed less enthusiastic with it so I gave the Regional Red a try. They loved this but after 2 weeks my girl with a sensitive digestive system started having inflammation so had to take her off of this and she is back on the Original. Thanks to Chewy I had the replacement in a day. Not sure how they do that. Must have a distribution center near by with my Autoship items.
