SLOW Results
I purchased two tests and sent them in at same time. It took about 1.5 weeks for one to arrive and 2 weeks for the other. The results for the one that arrive in 1.5 weeks was 17 days to get the results back. It has been 20 days since the 2nd one arrived and no results as of yet.
Orivet was definitely worth it
We got a new dog and we’re not sure what she was so we did the test and we’re very surprised. Our chihuahua is mostly Yorkie. We looked up the 5 results and found traits in her that matched all the mix. We have 2 other rescues and received their results too. We were close at guessing their dna but also had a few surprises. I used the app and it was great! We had results in 3 weeks of receipt. Definitely worth it for us.
don't bother
The app and website are so beyond broken it's ridiculous. The QR code links to a website with only 2 options: breeder or vet. Well when you're an owner, that option is only available in the app. Okay, so I found the app. But it doesn't scan the barcode as promised, i can't activate my account because the email link is broken, and if you try to add the kit ID manually the app just cycles. Chat support says to only use chrome and the online version - but again, you have to sign up as a breeder. So they switched my account to breeder and now i can't connect the kit to the dog. Oh did I mention that the app says step 1 is to activate kit, as does the kit itself, but chat support says that i couldn't activate the kit because the step 2 in the app, add pet, wasn't complete. This whole thing is so backward. And then to make matters worse, the actual collection process was frightening to my pup - far more invasive than competitor products. Do yourself a favor and buy Wisdom or Embark.

The test was easy to do. My dog thought she was getting a treat. I just wonder how long it would take to get the results back?

Dont know why people are giving CHEWY bad reviews when theyre mad at Orivet but.
Was happy with the results! Came back slightly different from what we thought but cant argue with the science. Yes it takes a few weeks to get the results but you can track the progress on the website. Also as its the 1st for me but the results say processed the 2nd of August, Im sure the lab is in Australia or New Zealand so they had to ship my guys sample and international takes a while. If you want fast results, stop complaining & pay for a more expensive test. Also for people saying their sample said 50% mixed breed or whatever, have you considered that your dog is so mixed that it may be hard to tell what they really are? Or you didnt collect the sample properly? Just because you THINK you did, doesnt mean you actually did. But anyway, got the test on sale so thats the only reason we tried it. A cheap curiosity but we're plesantly surprised. 4/5 stars because of the length of time testing but also at full price its a bit pricey for something thats not necessary unless you breed
Price Went Up
The first one I bought from Chewy was $69.95. Got the results in 2 months. I have 4 dogs. Was going to get one for each dog but now price is $89.00. Guess not.
Would give zero stars
I don't recommend this item at all. Came back inconclusive. I swabed my dog well yet was told not enough was given. I can't go buy anymore DNA test. Very angry and disappointed. BUYERS BEWARE
Thanks for the clarity
Why do you buy a dna test for your dog? Because they are mixed and you would like to know with what breeds they are mixed from. Well, with this test, they astoundingly uncovered that my dog was…. 50% mixed breed!!! Thanks for the help Orivet, I didn’t know that! And the other 50% was made up of dogs that look nothing even similar to my pup, not even the same color! Buy a real brand test, not this!
