How often do I use the clipper grease? Not the oil. The grease for the Motor. And where do I place it and how much?
Answer by ChewyJun 29, 2019
Only clippers with a universal motor require greasing - for example, the Classic 76, Model 10 or Turbo 111. In order to grease the clipper, remove the front cover plate (nameplate) to access to the gear box. This will allow you to determine if the clipper needs to be greased. If clipper does need grease, use about 1/2 teaspoon. Fill the gear box with the grease. Make sure the grease covers the gears. Most of our products come packed with a grease tube.

How can i attach the 10 piece comb set to this blade? They do not see to fit in any which way
Answer by ChewyJun 19, 2019
With the clipper facing you, place the pad of your thumb on the blade and swiftly push the top of the blade away from the clipper. This will make the blade '"tongue" or "blade assembly" open and you can slide the blade off. off the "tongue" and replace the new blade on the "tongue". With the "tongue" open, turn clipper on and then push the blade towards the clipper (shut), this will ensure the proper engagement of the blade on the driving tip. To put the blade back on, first, ensure that the rectangular metal "tongue" or blade hinge assembly is in standing position or open. If it is closed, insert a flat head screwdriver under the tongue and applying enough force, push the hinge back to standing position. Once this is complete, slide the blade on the tongue, turn your clipper on and push the blade down and snap the hinge assembly closed.

Good but hot

Strong motor, solid build, do everything well except cooling. I've had these about 3 years just doing #5 shaves on our full size poodles. Holding up well and have enough power to get through fine dense hair. Only problem has been inadequate cooling. I can spray and dip the blades to keep them cool for the dog but the body of the cutter runs just a little too hot for comfort.

These are da bomb !!

These are the same clippers I used when cutting hair when I was shipboard. They are tough, durable and powerful. They do get very warm, but it is to be expected with any clipper motor that is used for several hours. It took me about 2 1/2 hrs to clip my Golden Retriever down to a kennel cut. She had a very thick mat but once I created an opening it was easy going from there. The clipper body did get hot but periodic breaks helped, along with a shot of compressed air to clear the hair and a few into the motor body to assist with cooling it down.

Best clippers!

I have a Bichon poodle mix with a dual coat that gets thick and matted. I’ve used other clippers before as well spent a $100 or more at the groomer per session and these are by far the best clippers I’ve ever had. Easy, quiet and sharp. Able to get to the bottom without nicking or scratching his skin, especially in sensitive areas like his groin, butt and face. The money I will save from going to a groomer is equal to what I paid for it just once! You can get replacement blades as well for about 1/5th the price of a new clipper.

Clippers for matts and double coats

Wow this product blew my mind. Yes it does get hot but it's working better than any other I've tried. I bought this because so many vets recommended it. My dog has multiple coats and during the winter we allow it grow. This results in matts once summer comes. So with the matts and fine double coat fur I really struggle grooming him. But this clipper cut through the fur like nothing!! Very pleased

Gets very hot and blade is hard to clip into place

This clipper gets very hot about 15-30mins of use. The blade is very difficult to push back into place once change even if you push it hard. It is also louder than my cordless clipper and this was marketed as quiet. It’s not worth the money but I’m glad Chewy takes the return.

Excellent choice

Ive used these clippers numerous times over the last twenty years and I needed to replace them after our house fire. The two speeds are useful for different coat types. The blades are easy to change for different types of clipping. They are not as heavy as other sets.

Cumbersom

Im no professional groomer. I have 2 small shih tzu that need to be groomed so I wanted to get something so I could trim them in between, I figured the device would pay for itself over a few months. I need to learn more and figure out the blades. This unit seem powerful, but heavy In the hand and the thick cord is cumbersome. A bit on the loud side which the dogs hate. The comb attachment I purchased to go with it were supposed to fit, but they don't. I had to order another blade, rather than comb to be able to use it properly.

Worth the money

Bought these clippers for my rescue. They cut right through heavy pelts and leave a nice clean cut.Very low noise. Doesn't bother the animals much. Came with cleaning brush and 2 good size squeeze tubes of oil.
