I have to admit, this is not the first time I've bought this product. They eventually get 'loved" to the limits - fraying and generally breaking in two (or more, like one that we affectionately nicknamed "Squiddy" because it had so many tentacles. They do last quite a while though, and are long enough to protect your hands from an overly ambitious grab in a tug of war game. Just know that they won't last forever, but its worthwhile for the joy she gets out of it while it is still functional.

I got this rope for my pit mix one year old. She ripped it completely apart within two hours. The only good thing was she not try to consume the string that it’s made of. She just wanted to rip it apart. It was not even a challenge for her. She is a pitbull and they have very powerful jaws. This is my advice to anyone with a similar canine. This rope is no challengefor them. I had since found a much thicker higher quality cotton rope that she has enjoyed playing with chewing on, but not Destroying in one day.

My little Shi-Poo has the ability to chew and destroy toys in about an hour, including other rope toys. This one lasts for months. Excellent product.
