can any of the water leak onto the floor through the rim? We have one that when you remove the bowls the opening that the bowl fits into has no bottom and water leaks on the floor from around the rim of our messy drinker.
Answer by ChewyMay 05, 2018
This product has a spill ridge to keep food and water off your floors.

What are the measurements or dimensions on the bowls? I want to know if I can put a slow dog feeder bowl in it.
Answer by ChewySep 11, 2019
The 8 inch feeder has bowls which are 7.5 inches in diameter and 2.5 inches deep. The 12 inch feeder has bowls which are 8.48 inches in diameter and 2.7 inches deep.

Is the base opening for bowls closed or a hole the bowls sit in
Answer by ChewyNov 04, 2018
The holder is indented to fit the bowls.

I have a full grown lab. Will this size work?
Answer by ChewyMay 22, 2019
To determine the correct height for a dog food bowl by measuring your standing dog from the floor beneath the front paws up to the top of the shoulders. For dog's measuring between 12-15 inches at shoulder height, the 8 inch model is recommended. For dog's measuring between 16-19 inches at shoulder height, the 12 inch model is recommended.

Perfect height for my girl

I have a pit who is 4 months old. This is perfect for her. The bowls themselves are a little more light weight than I expected, but the base is sound so she can’t knock it over. It helps greatly for her not to have to crouch to eat or drink. The reason it only got 3 stars is because of the water bottle. I tried to use a normal 2-liter, and it was flimsy at best. She is voracious when she drinks because she plays so hard, and it spilled the very first time. I figured, maybe I’m supposed to take the little ring off the bottle……nope! Then all the water in the bottle pours into the bowl. So for now, I am just going to use the actual bowls that came with it. And FYI: since the base is black, don’t be surprised if your dog looks at you like your crazy when you tell her there is water in it. That’s what mine did. She couldn’t see it.

Best dog feeder stand

I’ve seen other stand feeders, but I’ve owned this one for years and it’s easy to clean and just the right height. The only thing is the stainless steel pans are of a lesser quality and over time some pitting in the bottom of pans they say: Made in India.I But I just bought a second one for my puppy.

Good value

The elevated bowls were a perfect height for my dog (Lab). He is eleven and this makes getting his food easier for him. The bowl is more than large enough for his food, although the water bowl is a bit small. My only reason for not rating a "5" is that a considerable amount of water gets under the bowls and must be dried periodically. Very reasonable price.

Great dog dish

This elevated bowl is perfect if you have a large breed dog like I have.. My German Shepherd doesn't have to go down to the floor to eat. It allows her to eat at her height, which helps with not getting a twisted gut. Great for dogs young and old.. Absolutely love it!!

My old dog likes his new bowls

I have a 50 lb hound mutt who's getting older. I thought this would be beneficial to him. The bowls are a little lightweight and I hope they hold up. It is a good height for Elvis who is Springer Spaniel size.

Not for the big & tall

This is really too low for my German Shepherd. The bowls are also small. This is perfect for a medium sized dog.

As Good As It Looks

It is just as sturdy as it looks on the picture. The bowls hold plenty of food and water. It was a little too high for my baby but absolutely perfect for my friends. Isn't that how it usually happens.

Did Not Like

We got this because my 6 month old lab puppy had a bad habit of picking up and dumping water bowls. This worked as far as him not being able to dump it. But, he has not learned how to drink like a "gentleman" yet, and sloshes water everywhere. Water would get under the bowls, so they would be floating and then the whole thing would need to be picked up and emptied on a daily basis. After missing a day or 2 of dumping water from under the bowls, there were things swimming in the water under the food bowl and I was totally grossed out! Not very convenient and it is not allowed back in my house!

Great little tray

My bad should have checked to see if bowls came with it. My bowls are to big so I can only fill water half full.
