Outward Hound Grunt N Punt Football Dog Toy, Blue & Pink

I have bought dozens of these over the years because my dog is absolutely obsessed with them. It is the first toy he looks for in the morning or when coming in from outside. When he came home from being hospitalized, he was so excited to have his football again that he slept with it in his mouth (while wearing a cone). He will panic and whine if his football is in another room and he can't get to it. I've owned many dogs and gone through many dog toys over the years and I've never before had a dog so in love with a toy. I don't know what we'll do if they ever stop making it. Full disclosure: these toys do not last. I have owned so many of these that I am very familiar with how they fall apart. Some have lasted months and some have lasted hours. The squeaker will break within the first few minutes (not the end of the world, honestly) and then after that when it is squeezed you just hear air puffing, which personally I prefer. My dog likes to just carry it around squeezing it; I think he likes the resistance of the rubber. One end of the football has a seam around it; the whole tip is attached to a core that contains the squeaker. Sometimes you get one that is not glued very well and the whole tip/core will come detached. The rubber is durable enough but will not stand up to heavy chewing. If your dog likes to pick apart toys, they will break this end off the football very quickly. If the end doesn't come off, over time (and with a lot of squeezing) the football will start to crack and once that starts, a dog could very easily try to rip pieces off of it, which is when it is time for a new football (the broken shards of the squeaker that broke on day one will also fall through these cracks and can be a hazard). This is not the strongest or best-made toy in the world and I don't recommend it for a power-chewer. That being said, I will keep buying them in bulk because they make my dog so happy.

Ben goes bonkers for these footballs. If the other dogs get hold of them, they chew off the ends, so I try to keep them away from others, so Ben can enjoy them and the sound they make when he crunches on them.

Came broken but doggo didn't care and just started chomping on it. Didn't think it was worth returning at that point...
