I found out what's inside

I got this pom pom in the Oxbow party pack. Once my buns opened up what looked like wood they went crazy. It looked like foam and I took it away. I wrote an enquiry to Oxbow. I found out it is a sunflower stock. That's just how the stocks are inside. Here was the reply with the list of materials: Pom Pom is made with sunflower stalk, raffia paper, non-toxic white glue and food-safe colors. The white “foam” is actually a natural part of the sunflower stock.
G pigs love!
My piggies love these toys. They enjoy ripping the crinkle paper off and eating it. I buy these often. Highly recommend

foam?
My rats went to town on this which makes me happy that they like it. But when I looked inside it was a foam substance. This honestly concerns me, I wouldn’t think
My rats went to town on this which makes me happy that they like it. But when I looked inside it was a foam substance. This honestly concerns me, I wouldn’t think Oxbow would put anything potentially harmful in a toy, but this isn’t included on the ingredients list. Please someone explain what this is.
Yum yum Pom pom
My sweet pea just loved this. I definitely will be buying more for my baby.

weird filling material
Our girls had fun chewing the ends off and it seemed innocent enough- I’ve come to trust oxbow products and feed our piggies several of these products - but then
Our girls had fun chewing the ends off and it seemed innocent enough- I’ve come to trust oxbow products and feed our piggies several of these products - but then tonight I realized the toy is filled with foam. One of our Guinea pigs just passed and we thought the mass in her stomach on the ultrasound was a tumor we didn’t know about, now it makes me wonder “celebration of life” would be a better name for this

Rabbit ate the whole center portion in one night. Absolutely loved it, but then went into GI stasis right after. Could have been the addition of bok Choy to his diet at the same time. I am not sure, but I certainly will be avoiding both from here on out. Written while sitting at the vet with bunny.

It was okay
It entertained my mice for a moment. I've seen them far more interested in other things, but at least they gave it the time of day!

meh, seems unsafe
My rabbit is still pretty young (less than a year) so I’m still in the process of finding out what her toy interests are. This toy was part of a deal and I got it
My rabbit is still pretty young (less than a year) so I’m still in the process of finding out what her toy interests are. This toy was part of a deal and I got it for free basically so I figured why not try it. My rabbit couldn’t have cared less lol. The barrel part has a few nibbles and seems rather sturdy which is a plus. However, the end pieces make me nervous because that material doesn’t seem safe if ingested. Oxbows whole thing is making sure the stuff is safe and fun for small animals, but this toy made me anxious. Glad I got it for free because I wouldn’t pay almost $5 for this when there are hundreds of other toys for the same price that are safer and more enticing. TLDR: my rabbit didn’t even acknowledge it and the tassel ends seem a little unsafe if accidentally eaten
