This collar features standard tone & vibration, along with16 levels of safe static training levels. It is not recommended to press and hold the Vibration/Shock Button too long to avoid physical or psychological hurt to the dog.

Vibration only

I got this for my over protective dog who loves to charge at humans but say hello to other dogs and needs a little help on her recall when she's targeted on something

I got this for my over protective dog who loves to charge at humans but say hello to other dogs and needs a little help on her recall when she's targeted on something she finds very important. She's around 20lb so I didn't have a problem with the fit- I had to cut some of the collar shorter. I love that there is an option for vibration and energy. I was really unsure about the energy until she ran in front of a car. After getting the collar I was still unsure of the energy (I really hate the idea of having to use it) and luckily this collar has prongs for the energy and I didn't even hook them up (I wanted to at least make sure she'd respond to the vibration) so there wouldn't be any accidents. Before putting it on her I would push the beep button and then the vibration button as an introduction. The vibration does have a loud sound. It totally freaked her out which is good because I don't want her to ignore it. When I finally put it on her she knew something was up. The neighbor came out to say hi and as per usually she took off in a charge and I used the collar. It stopped her and left her a little confused but it was enough to get her attention to listen to our recall. After putting the collar on her 4-5 times but only having to use the vibration twice I would say she doesn't really even need the collar on (I still use it when I know we will be outside for awhile- my husband doesn't use it all because she listens to him better). She loves to check the mail with me and then bring mail to her dad so when I check the mail it's so quick I just let her follow me and her recall (though not as fast as with the collar) has definitely improved. Knowing the vibration is enough is a relief and I love that that's an option now. I have only had to charge it once when I took it out of the box but it's turned off most of the time so can't really to her speak to that. I would recommend the vibration only collars for any dog with a good response to training but just needs a gentle reminder when they see something they deem more important than listening to their human, especially if they sometimes put themselves in a dangerous situation like running across the street or up to other dogs.

vibration too long

The vibration is 1-2 seconds which is much longer than necessary for a correction for my dog. The shocks were ok but prefer to train my dog on a quick vibration

Pat pet e-collar P-650 remote training collar

I received our collar on January 25th and started working with it the very next day. I give this device a very high rating because it does the job when used properly

I received our collar on January 25th and started working with it the very next day. I give this device a very high rating because it does the job when used properly. My 72 lb. Airedale was exceptionally bad when we first rescued her when she would see or meet unknown dogs on leash. We knew she has this issue when we adopted her. I was at my wits end because I normally could retrain with good results. Not this time. She was was a very strong dog that had a mind of her own. After a week or two of training she has improved dramatically and I very rarely use the shock setting which is alway set at 7 which gets her attention. Two improvements needed when the model gets updated; A matching belt pouch with easy removal feature so you don’t have to constantly hold the remote. The static button is to easy to accidentally activate. This shock button should be recessed a lot in order to prevent Shocking by accident. Otherwise this product should really help with difficult dog training problems but I would not recommend it to potty train your pet. Richard
