It works

Nothing was working on our headstrong border collie/labrador mix until we started using this. I was very concerned to have to use this option.... But, it worked,

Nothing was working on our headstrong border collie/labrador mix until we started using this. I was very concerned to have to use this option.... But, it worked, she mostly listens to the beeps, but occasionally we have to shock on low. She is very resource protective, and it was making us nervous the way she would protect our fence line. We didn't want her to think it was ok to be aggressive and possibly bite someone some day. We only had to use it a couple times and now she mostly behaves without it. Occasionally, we have to put it back on her as a reminder, but we haven't had to use it. If you can train without one, that would be recommended first. But, if nothing you do works, even with a trainer, then this is definitely an option that we recommend. It worked well for us.

Worked well until the static and boost functions stopped working. Very frustrating and limited information on manufacturer’s website.

Waste of money

After unboxing and fully charging both the collar and remote for the recommended time by the manual I tested to collar on myself as I do all my e collars. After

After unboxing and fully charging both the collar and remote for the recommended time by the manual I tested to collar on myself as I do all my e collars. After 3 shocks on the lowest setting the shock function stops working. The vibrate function at level 1 is significantly more stronger than the shock at level 1. Using vibrate for corrections outside of an emergency is not an option. That leaves shock. Shock does not work more than 3 times. Effectively rendering the collar useless and a waste of money.

Don't buy P642.

Waste of time and money. The collar works inconsistently, unreliably. I have spent hours trying to get it to work right.

Absolute Junk & waste of money

We purchased the PATPET P642 to train our six-month-old Labrador. After taking it out of the package, we charged the transmitter and collar. I attached the long

We purchased the PATPET P642 to train our six-month-old Labrador. After taking it out of the package, we charged the transmitter and collar. I attached the long probes to the collar, without using the rubber protectors. I tested the collar, and the system seemed to function, with the tester lighting up. The collar was then placed around the dog's neck and adjusted several times. Neither the tone nor the vibration had any effect. The tone was almost inaudible at the highest setting. Following several commands to stop barking, I tried the "Static" button, but there was no effect. I then tried the boost button, with the same lack of effectiveness. I was hoping for a good training collar, especially since others had positive experiences. Unfortunately, I believe I received a defective unit. Despite the potential for good performance, this collar is a waste of money.

Works good

My dog is part German Shepard so his coat is thick once I found the spot that worked so he could feel the shock it worked great but he would scratch and move it

My dog is part German Shepard so his coat is thick once I found the spot that worked so he could feel the shock it worked great but he would scratch and move it off to the side more so then he couldn't feel it but the vibrations and sounds he listened to so I call it a win
