Won't hold a charge

I've had it for a while and don't use it very much and everytime I go to use it, it is head (after being fully charged).

I wanted a training tool for a free range dog (50 lb) that wasn't a shock. The vibration on this collar is way too strong and buzzy. Even at the lowest setting it's extremely unpleasant for the dog - way worse than a low shock. It doesn't work for training purposes, because it's very annoying for the dog and distracts their attention from the trainer.

Not Quite

Ordering and delivery were great. Collar came very quickly. Seems well made and it was easy to set up. The collar and receiver holds the charge at least a couple

Ordering and delivery were great. Collar came very quickly. Seems well made and it was easy to set up. The collar and receiver holds the charge at least a couple days. There’s a learning curve ( for the pet parent as well as for the pet.) Figuring out when to tap the beep warning and how quickly to hit the reinforcement button can be difficult. Beyond that, my experience has been it is only moderately effective for my dog, a standard poodle pup about a year old. The vibration seemed to be more effective in the first couple days but I’ve had to increase the power to get his attention. In the very distracted or exciting situations, such as seeing another dog at a distance or getting into something at home that he’s been told “no” to a number of times, well, it just didn’t seem to have enough effect to stop the behavior. He would hesitate for a second, then go right on with the action. Since I’ve only used this method a couple weeks, I’m willing to try a bit longer. I think it would work well for some dogs but not sure about mine in particular.

I am super disappointed in this collar. The collar itself does not hold a charge. It works for 15 minutes and then stops working. Then the remote doesn’t have the distance that was described. We are disappointed as we have the shock collar version for our other dog and that works great. We won’t be buying this no-shock collar again.

The 16 vibration intensity levels listed is actually one level of vibration and the "intensity" is actually varying duration of simulation (level 1 is about 1/8

The 16 vibration intensity levels listed is actually one level of vibration and the "intensity" is actually varying duration of simulation (level 1 is about 1/8 sec and level 16 about 3/4 second). My pup found the baseline level of vibration to be too intense and scary.
