Works Well
I bought this collar set to use with my two dogs. One of which is an adventurous 5 year old pit mix and the other a 12 year old lab mix. For my pit mix the collar has been very useful in making sure she doesn’t run away on hikes/at the lake when she hears deer or other animals. The collar works well where we live but I have noticed that the more mountainous an area the shorter the distance the collar works at times. For my lab mix he is mostly deaf and the beeping feature is great to have him look up from where he is to find us. He normally doesn’t stray but this collar is helpful to grab his attention and give hand commands. Overall I’m very happy with the product and the features of it. Only complaint is that the collar itself does leave a black/grayish mark on their necks if left on in the water. I normally take them off when they swim just because they’re not really needed to avoid this. The collars have been left on for multiple hours of swimming with no issues so they are water proof.
Cannot recommend this product
So my dogs and I have quite a bit of experience with E Training collars. I decided I wanted to upgrade to this model because it specifically stated it was waterproof. Living in Florida we occasionally visit the dog beach so being able to have his E collar on during our visits gives me peace of mind he will obey a recall. So we were at the beach everything was going well until he got out of the water and it started beeping, it beeped about 3 or 4 times. Then completely dead. Keep in mind I've only had this particular collar for about a week. I'm no tech expert but I consider my dog and I lucky that it didn't short out and start shocking him or burn up while on his neck, but after my experience of it beeping and then just give out completely I cannot recommend this to anyone. Also as I said I'm very comfortable and familiar with e collars and the charging port was closed while he was wearing it so unless it was faulty that definitely was not the issue. For reference he is an 8 month old German Shepard.
PATPET P640 Training Collars
It has been 2 weeks since we’ve started using the collars on our two Golden Retrievers. We love our walks every evening but encounters with neighborhood fur buddies would sometimes get a bit noisy. Our 6 year old reacts to barking by barking back and our 3 year old will chime in too. These past 2 weeks have been very different and much more enjoyable without the barking. It really only took a few days for my goldens to catch on to the collars. I never installed the shock probes and honestly the tone and vibrate modes are very effective. I would definitely recommend these collars and would buy them again.
This is the BEST training collar
I have two Australian shepherd puppies. Tried a hand me down training collar before realizing my needs in a training device. Love the shock levels. Can go up to 16 as the dogs grow. Level 2 is perfect for them at 4 months just to correct behavior. Dog's want to please their owners. Teach them young and avoid a lifetime of yelling and rolled up newspaper's. This training collar has allowed me to train my dogs to go to ice cream and stand in the line without barking. We want them to come everywhere with us and enjoy life. Thanks to this collar they can and are.
Sometimes doesn’t work
One collar will not beep when used. Then when I take the collar off and put on charge then take it off it starts to beep again. Collar is really unreliable at times. Really disappointed as this is my first purchase with chewy.
Great for obedience
These have worked great for training our 2 boxer puppies. Easy to use.
Fantastic Product!
I bought this hoping that the range would work, and it does! My Dobermans love to run, and as soon as I push the tone button, it recalls them, even if they're out of my site and down in the woods. LOVE the physical switch to determine which dog I'm beeping!

When Patpet says lifetime warranty, they mean it. They replaced it immediately, with no hassles and no problems. I'm very happy with their customer service, but I'm extremely thrilled with the product. I have never in the years I've owned it had to use a shock. My dogs, swim, play in the sand, and snow, and the collars always work. I give the product and customer service five stars! Thank you Patpet! I would also like to thank chewy and their customer service, which has always been excellent. I would never shop for my pet needs anywhere besides chewy.
Excellent Choice
I purchased the collars as replacements for my two dogs. I like to let the two knuckleheads off leash during our walks but occasionally they will run off to chase a squirrel (imagine that). The remote and the receivers are easy to use and work even at long range. They are used to collars so simply yelling out 'come' and pressing the beep and then vibrate button gets their attention and they come running back.
