Do you have to screw those prongs in on the collar for just vibration, and what are the black caps for

I'm not sure what the prongs are for. We use it without them and it works great to get our dog's attention.

Does it have contact points?

This training collar does not have contact points. Simply have the collar pressed firmly and properly around your dog's neck for the vibration.

Is it waterproof?

The receiver collar is waterproof. However, the remote is not waterproof.

For my deaf dog

My dog is going deaf so I trained her to know I’m calling by using it simultaneously. Of course she has to be able to see me to know where to come. It’s perfect

I had to return this the day I got it and wait to reorder a size up because the sizing is inaccurate. It says it expands to 21", but that's false. Anything after

Very effective

Worked for our beagle ("I can hear you, I'm just not listening!"). After a couple days all I had to do was show her the box. She comes when called now.

No shock feature

Perfect for my dog as he has lost his hearing. He was afraid to leave my side in our fenced in yard. Now he roams freely knowing he will "feel" me call him

Easy to use and battery lasts forever

Good quality. Even kept up after a couple times through the water. Battery lasts forever on both collar and remote. We only use when in the yard but still impressive

Great Product But Wrong Sizing

I purchased this item for the second time for my dog. The first experience (when she was a small puppy) was great & the product overall is very gentle & effective

I purchased this item for the second time for my dog. The first experience (when she was a small puppy) was great & the product overall is very gentle & effective. BUT, the sizing shown on the website is not correct. My large dog is now full grown and the collar does not fit her even fully adjusted. I wish I could find a way to still use the receiver with a different collar. I currently have to just clip it to the back of her harness so she can still hear the "beep" for training purposes. Disappointed in the sizing.

After reading some of the reviews , I was hesitant. I have a large breed dog, and I was worried it was not going to fit. When it arrives it is smaller. When it arrived, I realized that it was a user error and not a product error. You have to adjust the small clasp in the middle to get it to go full length my dog responds to it and it's been a wonderful training tool. Fully adjusted it is around 19 inches
