Belly Band
We rescued a ~6 year old chihuahua mix who is super sweet, but has been marking occasionally. He is house trained for the most part, but still likes to mark randomly. I had no idea these belly bands existed until I started searching for marking solutions. They are wonderful! We have been using them for almost a week. He has wet his belly band 3 times so far. I just throw them in the wash and hang them to dry. We had been using them almost constantly, but he is developing a little irritation on his underside where the elastic contacts his skin. We are going to try giving him some extended breaks from using the band and also are going to try making it looser as he has gotten used to having it on...but just wanted others to be on the lookout for the potential for irritation. Overall, very pleased! I wish I had known about these sooner!!
Just what we needed.
This is a top quality product. They fit our little fellow perfectly. He is a tiny Yorkie but they will do the job quite nicely for us. He didn't seem to mind wearing it and it looks like it's going to be exactly what we need. I guess I'd have to give a further review when he's actually used one. We haven't gotten to that point yet but it sure isn't far away. Thanks for a quality product.
Sizing concerns
I like the product however on a small it said up to 18 inches. NOPE! I measured my pup and he measured 13 inches. The bands just barely fit him. I also think the velcro is very strong and since I have so much exposed I plan to stick a piece of fabric or something to the exposed area so he doesn't roll around and snag stuff in the house. They work fine but there is that whole sizing thing. My instinct was to get a medium for my mid sized hound but since the inches were stated I felt they should be accurate. So they will be used but don't trust the stated measurements on the sizing. I would recommend them still but just be wary of sizing.
Effective when user correcrly
First a warning: the velcro is STRONG. If it latches onto your clothes or anything else, be careful because it will pull the fibers if you move too fast. The wrap works well if you adjust it properly. It's been hit or miss with me because sometimes I take it off and my puppy has urinated in it (or held it) and he's dry and clean. Other times I take it off, and the urine has not been absorbed, instead, he has a damp foul-smelling underbelly and the wrap is wet all over rather than just where he is meant to mark. It's nasty and I have to wipe him down before letting him run around on my carpet or try to play with me. I'm not sure if he's doing anything to mess it up once it's on him, but using it has yielded mixed results. Really, I'd give this three and a half stars, but perhaps I'm just using the wrap wrong.
Durable, easy to use
I got the extra small for my 8lb senior chorkie and they're snug but they fit comfortably. The material is durable and absorbent. They've held up after putting them in the washer at least once and letting them air dry - but time will tell how long they last. Overall, I would recommend.
Too small for a medium dog
The belly banfs i ordered are labeled as medium but are way too small for a 25lb Cocker Spaniel. They fit my daughters Chug. Id mark the small XS, the medium as S, and the large probably would fit my boys?

My yorkipoo has a lot of issues with marking, especially when I’m not home. I work long hours so crating didn’t seem fair to him and my other dog. Belly bands have been the perfect solution. They get free reign of the house and I don’t have to clean up any messes when I get home from work. They’re stretchy but don’t come off easy, and the dogs seem to have complete range of motion in them. I also like that they collect and absorb the urine so that if they do pee in them, it’s not sitting against their fur all day.
Works fine
The reason for the four stars is that I cannot find a brand that has a size to fit my dog. He is between the medium and large. I do like these due to the gathering on the sides which helps a great deal.
Not good for med hair dogs
Dog hair tangled in the velcro and it held the urine saturated around his body..not good
mom of diabetic pup
A life and house saver, however at times, once washed there is a sort of mildew like spots left in the band. I keep having to discard every so often.
