Questions & Answers

7 Customer Questions

Is there a danger of mold buildup inside this product? Is it easy to empty the water out and does it dry out completely if maybe put upside down?

Answer by ChewyMay 01, 2019
The best way to clean out the Paw Plunger is to rinse it out and let it air dry. The brushes in the center can be removed for cleaning. It's not recommended to store water in it for long periods of time as bacteria can build up. Fill and completely empty with each use.

For a Sheepadoodle. Would large paw plunger work or should we get medium.

Answer by ChewyDec 19, 2021
The Petite plunger is suitable for pets under 15 pounds, the Medium plunger is perfect for dogs 15-70 pounds and the Large is best for dogs over 70 pounds.

Hi. Is this paw plunger dishwasher safe? thanks!

Answer by ChewyJan 21, 2019
While the Paw Plunger is dishwasher safe, it's not recommended to put it in the dishwasher on a regular basis. The best way to clean your Paw Plunger is to simply rinse out and let it air dry.

The directions say just add warm water do you add the warm water to the dogs paws or in the plunger it doesn’t say?

Answer by ChewyApr 04, 2019
It's recommended to fill Paw Plunger with water up to the top of the first row of bristles. Gently place your pup's paw into Paw Plunger, and plunge by moving the Paw Plunger up and down. Paw Plunger is paw-friendly, so you may gently plunge as many times as necessary. After cleaning each paw of dirt, mud, ice or salt and chemicals, thoroughly dry with that nearby towel!

Perfect for pup paws healthy pads!

It's a must have for the winters of New England (& elsewhere); particularly when concerned about the toxic effect of chemical in salt when walking in snow & ice

Dogs don't seem to like it.

Dogs don't like it. But it's well made. I think dogs that like water would like it. Don't purchase it if your dog doesn't like their feet touched.

This paw cleaner is a game changer! I bought the large because I have a Great Pyrenees and it's the perfect size. He has an affinity for mud so his paws are always dirty. No more muddy floors with this! At first he was extremely apprehensive about using it but now he understands to stand at the door and be calm while I dip each paw. The paw comes out dripping wet so be sure to have a towel underneath. I use an additional dry towel to wipe his paws and remove any remaining dirt. The only issue is it is so big that I struggle to use one hand to hold it up because of the weight. But I've already gotten stronger by using it! I highly recommend this paw cleaner!!!

Good for muddy paws

Works well. You still need a towel to dry the paws before you let them in, but it’s tons better than the wet rag.
